    Electric Land Cruiser in Vancouver

Probably hooked the snorkel up into cab fresh air intake. Would love to see how they did this retrofit and if can handle being submerged.

    24v anti theft alarm availability...

I looked into this years ago and was told there was some available for heavy equipment. Volvo, CAT and John Deer all have 24V machinery. I did see an alarm immobilizer made for Caterpillar but it was over $600 plus installation. As said above, a hidden kill switch is just as effective. You...

Feb 29th - Sylvester Rd Exploring with a Campfire and Smokie Stop Somewhere

Coming in here a bit late because while a fun day I ended up paying for it. That said, I very much appreciate Gary to offer up a shotgun seat. Can't beat a day of good company, good wheeling, and our great outdoors. Was also fun to see how a HJ81 might work as a submarine.

Thank you Rob and all who worked to put the Christmas Supper together. I really enjoyed it, especially having a chance to catch up with friends I don't get to see very often. Wishing you all a happy and safe holiday season.

Moving My HDJ81V Back to Canada (Victoria). Winter Tires..?

B Ice and glazed compact snow is common going over the Malahat in the winter. If that is going to be a regular winter trip, I recommend studded ice radials. I have both Cooper and Nokian studded. The Nokians are my far the best on ice and snow but very expensive. Order them factory studded...

    blacksmithing work station

I heard that brake pedals are made with high quality spring steel. Neighbour made me a tool to torque down rear axle inner oil seal from one as my torque wrench only went up to 250 ft/lbs. Probably pretty cheap at the wrecker.

    Electric off-road

Not as bad but I am not fond of the plastic looking front and rear. Somehow the manufacturers are going to need to figure out how to properly armour it for off road otherwise they are only good for graded logging roads. Armour that we can afford is heavy which affects range. Would be nice to...

GARY'S AUTUMN RUN OCTOBER 26 MOUNT CHEAM

Had a great time today on the Thurston Loop trail run. Thank you very much to Gary for offering me the 'handbrake' seat in your rig. Also, thanks to Gary and Bill for a great trail lunch. Hope Brad and Sarah made it back okay with the lost dogs. Any update on finding their owner? Posted...

Too bad it wasn't dry stored and put away properly. It such a shame. If I was better, I would be all over this.
