Been daily driving it since I got it, have about 67,000 miles to date. The CEL issue has been resolved and I haven’t had a single issue since it was diagnosed and fixed. Now having my catalytic converters sawed off in front of my house, that’s another story. I’ve been lowering the suspension...
So some great news this week, the original exhaust finally rusted through just behind the catalytic converter so I had everything replaced. While the work was being done, I told by indy about the CEL issue and told him to through his best guess at it. So after a new exhaust and the install of...
Very good points made regarding start up. Cold start takes just a hair longer than warm start. Engine cranks just a bit more but nothing concerning. Idle is great, no issues there. Unfortunately I don’t have the equipment or knowledge to monitor fuel trims.
P0171. Running lean in bank 1. Haven’t been able to figure it out. Two smoke tests have uncovered zero leaks. From the threads I’ve read, could be any number of things. Just depends on how far down the wormhole I’m willing to go with throwing new parts at it. Engine runs great, fires right...
Unable to see the readings. I’ve had the CEL on since May and haven’t been able to figure it out. The engine idles/runs darn near perfect. I just turned 60,000 miles
OP did you ever diagnose the issue? I have the same code on my 2000 and haven't been able to figure it out. Two smokes tests have resulted in no leaks detected. Of course the dealer wants to install new manifolds to the tune of $5000
Now if only I could get rid of that pesky CEL! Did pretty much everything I set out to do in my intro thread: new tires, Timing Belt, Heater Ts, brakes, all fluids, and fresh coat of paint. So far the experience has been great and am loving this truck more with every mile.
Greeting all,
I'm diving in head first in this community after a recent purchase of a 2000 LX470 in Riverrock Green Mica over beautiful grey leather with only 52,000 miles on her at time of purchase. I scoured the internet for weeks and decided on this one based on miles and the color combo...
Interior is immaculate and needs nothing. I’ll be addressing the dings and bits of rust on the exterior along with the TB and WP, fluid changes, etc. I’m guessing all those are still original. It does have the east coast surface rust underneath but frame is solid. It’ll be all cleaned up and...
