I recently purchased a 1985 Canadian BJ 70 that had rust at the bottom of the fenders and some good sized dents and scratches. It has roughly 429,000 kilometers. Tremendous fun to drive the five speed with that turbo diesel torque filled engine. Not a drop of oil. Id go for the Canadian truck..
I just purchased a 1985 BJ70 and its got a similar problem. It drives straight on the freeway but when you accelerate the truck pulls to the left and when you let your foot of the gas and or decelerate, the truck pulls back to the right. In either case I find myself correcting the steering...
Just purchased a 1985 rusty BJ70 that was imported to Southern California in 2014 from Canada. Runs great, exterior has rust on various body panels especially near the edges of the fenders. Needs a rear bumper. Also would like to know which other land cruiser's (if any) bumpers are compatible...
