    What vacuum line attaches here?

I'm about to get my Fj62 finished, but in six months I've forgotten what vacuum line attaches here. I've searched the FSM to no avail. Once I get this done I turn the starter, so please help!!

    FJ-62 transmission cooling hose fittings

My radiator was stolen as I was rebuilding my FJ-62. I bought a new radiator but the fittings for the transmission cooling lines are discontinued from Toyota. Does anyone have an old crapped-out radiator lying around that I can buy the fittings from it, or have a lead on sourcing these...

    Coolant Hose Kit

Does anyone carry a complete coolant hose kit for the FJ-62? I did a search and couldn't find anything. I'm replacing the water pump and the cylinder head so I might as well replace all the coolant and heater hoses while I'm in there.

    TPS connection

The electrical connector to the TPS is giving me problems again. The truck cuts off randomly and if I even slightly wiggle the connection to the TPS it kills the engine. I've had this problem before and used another plug from a throttle body I bought from another IH8MUD member. It has worked...

    pressure testing injectors/fuel rail FJ-62

Hey guys, I'm having a heck of a time with my FJ-62. I have put it back together and when I engage the starter I am hemorraging fuel from around the injectors and fuel rail. I have disassembled and assembled it twice now, checked the fuel line, regulator, pulsation damper, and fuel rail itself...

    Wanted  3FE cylinder head

Went to do an exhaust manifold gasket change and discovered a crack in my head. No fluid leakage but it needs to be changed.

Getting ready to change exhaust manifold gasket - anything else while I'm there?

Hello all, I'm going to tear down our FJ-62 and replace the exhaust manifold gasket. I have sourced a local machine shop that will mill the manifold flat and I'm using Felpro gaskets to replace the old ones. While I'm in there I plan on having the injectors cleaned and bench flowed. Any...

FJ-62 code 26, and running a little sickly

Our FJ-62 has has a check engine light on since we bought it five years ago, and the previous owner said it had been on since he had it. It's throwing a Code 26, which has a laundry list of items that the problem can be. To date I have replaced O2 sensors, Air Flow Meter, ECU, fuel pressure...

    Gauges fuse blowing

I have the 7.5 amp gauge fuse blowing after about 20 minutes. All gauges are indicating normally before it blows. I'm not very electrically inclined at all so if I check the resistance on the back of the combination meter per the FSM should I see something abnormal? Has anyone had something...

    Problem with the Gitmo Cruiser

Hey all, I'm in Ft. Lauderdale right now but my wife said the gauge cluster on our FJ-62 stopped working the other day, all gauges going to full left (i.e. empty fuel, no temp, etc.). Then last night she said the truck started running roughly, and the starter would would barely turn over. This...

    After all these years....

She's still got it! GITMO - Desmo's Photos We had a little car show and the Landcruiser got first prize in the 4X4 category. Sometimes it's good to be old and unusual! (That's my wonderful daughter and also my Ducati motorcycle behind the Landcruiser.)

    FJ-62 power window console question?

Does anyone know if Toyota still makes or stocks the driver's side power window console for a FJ-62? We have multiple switches with the hinge tabs broken, we need another whole assembly. However, it seems to be the first thing asked for on any part-out, and I'm just not fast enough. I called...

    FJ62 sighting

Seen in the Miami International Airport employee parking lot - a beautiful red FJ62 with a Florida license plate "FJ62". Gotta be a member here. Who da heck are you?

    TPS sensor plug

About six months ago I had a problem where my Land Cruiser would cut out and occasionally die when the engine warmed up. I traced the problem to the cannon plug at the TPS, where wiggling the plug would replicate the problem exactly. The male and of the cannon plug looked dry-rotted and the...

    Galley Plug...It happened to me!

I've read all the oil galley plug horror stories and thought, "It won't happen to me!" Well, it happened. I drove the Cruiser on a few errands and noticed an oil puddle under the Cruiser when I went to get back in. I was only a couple of blocks from the house so I drove her home to...

    Gitmo Pig

Just dropped the Landcruiser off at the dock in Baltimore for shipping to Guantanamo Bay Cuba. It will be trucked to Jacksonville then loaded on a ship for Cuba. Estimated delivery date - May 9. If anyone spots a red FJ62 with a white top barreling down I-95 on a car hauler it's probably...

    FJ62 transmission installation question

Okay, dumb question and I did a search, but I pulled my old transmission from my FJ62 yesterday and I'm putting in another one today. During disassembly I unbolted the torque converter from the flywheel before dropping the transmission. My question is, is it easier to bolt the torque converter...

relpaced ISC on FJ62 - what next?

My 1989 FJ62's idle doesn't change when cold or when the AC is turned in. I thought it might be a faulty ISC but I just changed it out with one that tested good. The original one tested okay too BTW, but I got another used one just to make sure. What else could cause the idle to not advance...

I think I may have found it.....

For months now my 1989 FJ62 has had a problem with running smoothly, then suddenly cutting out and/or dying while idling, especially when warm. Yesterday I read a thread about tapping the ISC valve to see if the idle speed changed at all. I picked up my plastic mallet and tapped the ISC...
