What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

    Stolen catalytic converters

I’m at my local dealer and they said catalytic conveyer replacement due to theft is $8000. I literally blurted out, “that’s a f@$cling lie!” My question is, can a 2019 Tundra run temporarily without cats? Like a temp delete pipe welded in?

    The Wall of Shame

PO used a stamp of some sort to hold down the plunger for the accelrator pump. Anyone got any ideas to get that out? Ive already tried a dental pick to try and pry it out.

    1982 FJ40 build (resurrection) Bluey

I also have an ‘82. Although I dont share everyone’s oppinion on Weber. In a pinch between running and not running, I’d tempoarily put one on. You can easily find one for low $ or for free. They are easy to rebuild with very few parts. I have one you can have if you want it until you get your...

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

You’re probably right about not welding one in, but I like having the ability to drain fuel if needed. I got to make use of my tig welder anyway.

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

I dont have the original tank. The PO ditched it for a poly aftermarket one. Its one of those cheap plastic universal ones from eBay or something.

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

not yet. I am getting things together for the install. I see on the parts list and schematic Matt supplied, I need the skid plate too. That is going to be rough.

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

I didn’t know that, but I already purchased this tank. I asked a while ago and folks gave it two thumbs up. I like that it is made in North America (Canada).

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

Thank you for this. I have the Haynes manual too, but I’m looking to see how to hook up the 3 evap lines going from the tank to the vapor separator.

Sorry, I noticed that the link didn’t take you directly to the tank. Here’s an image.

I have an ‘82 Fj40. Any pictures or detailed schematics of how the evap is hooked up Would be appreciated. The tank is mounted underneath and not under the seat.

Late model FJ40 fuel tank connections

I got one of those Spectra Premium fuel tanks to replace the poly aftermarker one. The PO didnt hook up the evap system, so I have no clue what goes to what. The FSA I have highlights the FJ 40, 55, and 60 series, with an enphasis on the 60. So its basically garbage to me. Does anyone have...

    Oil pan removal

These oil pans are rough! I used the factory jack with some slight modifications to a 1” socket. Working space is tight in a 40 to get the handle in, so I improvised. Worked great! For a second I thought this thing was JB welded in.
