    It's probably "fine" in that it will still work and not leak, but if it was sold new, I would request them to properly ship you an un-damaged unit. Im not an expert though. I had a similar situation with a GX radiator, but it wasn't quite as bad so I just lived with it.

    Sorry I forgot if I ever followed up with this thread: I changed out a non-OEM bosch starter motor with the OEM denso starter, and the problem completely went away. In my case, it seemed like a heat soak issue with the BOSCH starter, which would simply stop working if it got to hot. I have not...

    Apparently a solder goes bad on the smart flashers. Can be repaired if soldering is your thing.
