Will the mini-vci work with TIS if I spend the $65 for a 2-day professional diagnostic subscription? Or will it know the cable is a clone? I'd like to customize some stuff in my 2020 tundra and 2022 GR 86.
Does the update just include a newer version of virtualbox or Techstream itself. I tried to use on my 2020 Tundra and the newest model year available from the dropdown is 2018.
$150. They were originally chrome LX 470 wheels. I had them powder coated gray but will still not happy with them so I rattle canned them black. I would prefer to sell them locally and am willing to drive an hour or so within reason. If no one is interested locally I will look at the price to...
$300 local or $300 + actual shipping.
These were originally chrome wheels. I had them powder coated but was not happy with the way they come out so I spray painted them black. I ended up going back to the original 18" wheels for my 2003 truck.
Ok. Checked my notes. I bought a new serpentine belt at the same time I did the timing belt. It squeaked afterwards so I did the fan bracket. Still squeaked so I did the idler and tensioner and it went away. My guess is it was the tensioner. Probably didn't like being pried to remove/install the...
You are talking about making a jumper wire? Something with connectors on either end to avoid having to cut, splice, de-pin, etc.? That would be the ideal solution.
Did you choose not to depin the existing connector because it is a different size/style than the 82998-12440? I am getting ready to do this. But I would prefer not to cut/splice if it can be helped. It's also about $6/wire and I don't want to buy six of them if I don't need them.
I was following behind my truck's twin in Williamsburg earlier this week on airport road. Anyone on here with a galactic gray LX like mine with a roof box and maybe an awning?
Oh, and to be clear I did not use the AMSOIL grease because I could not find enough info about the calcium-sulfonate thickener they used instead of the lithium soap. There is some good reading here if you actually care.

It's not about what I think. It's about what the manufacturer suggests. I don't care enough to go into the chemistry and see if something bad will happen. I know if you mix DOT5 and DOT4 brake fluid little crystals form, destroy seals, and cause total brake failure. Didn't care enough to look...
To be clear, I used mine on the spindle per the factory service manual. I am also a mechanical/materials engineer. I think making a broad assumption about what greases are best with what types of bearings. Really depends on the type of metal, surface finish, surface treatment, etc. Not to...
I spent an obnoxious amount of time looking for some as well. Didn't find it locally. The first one is what I went with. The second one has the NLGI 1 and moly requirements but I think the binding agent gave me pause.
I have both the integrated hitch installed on my 03 LX as well as the under bumper one. It went in fine except the common misalignment of the welded-in nuts.
