    Yes, any ECU should work. The 3FE/1FZ/1HDT have a different cable setup (and different actuator part numbers) but the wiring harness is all the same. And everything else (AFAIK) is identical. I have mine working now after I got sick of all the fooling around and just made my own cable & pump...

    I eventually got this sorted out. I'm now running a 1FZ cruise actuator/cable on a 1HDT. It took some work, but it's amazing to have cruise again.

    At the point that you're at I would seriously consider a 12v conversion. Just to simplify things. When you bypassed the starter relay to try to jump the signal wire, how large a gauge wire did you use? Even with the 12v conversion, these things want a VERY strong signal to the starter...
