Engaged the rear diff lock, and it continued to blink. So I jacked the rear and tested it. It is locking & unlocking just not indicating with the dash light. Happen to anybody else? Small deal since I know it's working but if anyone knows a quick fix I'll take it!
You can lock your cdl while rolling slow. It's not going to help you much if you are going straight and on ice though. As far as rear lock, it's possible you ARE locked and it's still blinking, happened to me. Do it on pavemant and turn, you'll feel it if it's locked. Don't drive like that long...
Thanks for the reply, couple more ?'s
Auto transmission right?
Factory radio?
CD player?
Rack is gone, what's your cash price?
And finally, I'm in NC, looks like Rock Hill, SC is halfway between us, would you be willing to meet there?
Thanks,
Tom
I have owned my 1999 for years, and have 160,000 miles on it. That's just barely broken in for a LC !! I know another owner with 355,000 miles, no troubles!
Does anybody know a good mechanic would could install a OME lift and bumpers on my 100? I don't have the tools or know how. Around here there are plenty of CJ guys but LC guys. Any help? I'm in GSO
Did a search but nothing showed up. Does anyone have the Mile Marker Extreme winch mount on their 100? It is the only bolt on winch mount I can find. Ramsay & Warn don't make anything for LC's
Is it just me who doesn't get all the discussion about LC's and gas mileage? These are 7000lb full time 4WD's with powerfull V8's. Hello! Don't buy one if you can't handle 13-14 mpg. Don't mean to rant, but there are plenty of other SUV's that can get better mpg's....the LC is not one of them!
Where is a good source for purchasing a throttle position sensor? Can anybody give me directions for how to replace it? Can you do it without any special tools? I know my mechanic can, but I thought I'd try it if it's not too difficult.
Thanks!
The only difference is in options, only us Americans require electric windows, heated seats, etc. They leave that off a lot of others. Running gear is identical.
1999 w/ 123,000 miles. I did the timing belt at 120,000, and starter about 100,000. No repairs beyond that. My last LC was a 1988 with 160,000, and I never did any repairs on it!
I thought the weird shape of the CC meant that there probably was a fridge unit that would drop in there, I've just never seen them...figured they were Japan only.
