Builds Atnolan94 Land Crooser Build Thread

Well after 4 years, 30k miles, and ton of memories this 100 is officially sold. The new owner was ecstatic to have it which makes me happy knowing it’ll be taken care of. This is actually far and beyond the longest I’ve owned a single vehicle. Before I sold it, I put a rear locker in and had an...

    P0420

Wow man. There is a lot to unpack here, but first of all you could stand to be slightly more respectful. It is not unusual on this platform to replace the downstream O2 sensors to cure this code. The catalytic efficiency is measured by...you guessed it...your downstream O2 sensors. A fault in...

    METHOD WHEEL QUESTION

Freedom units For those having issues remebering positive vs negative offset…let’s use some extreme examples… Positive offset the mounting surface is OUTBOARD of the center line, think positive because it looks good. My truck at +18mm Negative offset, the mounting surface is inboard of the...

    METHOD WHEEL QUESTION

I explained this just a few posts up. It’s been discussed ad nauseoum in this thread. You even liked my comment.

    METHOD WHEEL QUESTION

Don't worry about lift height at all, its not relevant because a "lift" on a 100 does not affect wheel travel. Do a pinch weld mod and run +25s and you will be good to go.

    METHOD WHEEL QUESTION

+25 would poke less than +18. Stock is +60. That means the mounting surface of the wheel is 60MM OUTBOARD of the centerline, a smaller positive offset would push the mounting surfact closer tot he centerline of the wheel. So +25 is only 25mm outboard, +18 is even less at 18mm. Negative offset...

    Why 35"?

Even when I broke my driver side lower control arm in Moab where the torsion bar mounts to the arm I still didn’t have rubbing there. The only place I rubbed was ever so slightly on the top of the fender arch while turning. Even then it was 50/50, didn’t always do it. I was completely on the...

    Why 35"?

Despite our bickering, some of which is not necessarily relevant to OP’s point, this is the best advice in here. Just because 35s don’t make sense for some doesn’t mean there’s not a benefit there. Best way to learn is first hand!!

    Why 35"?

Aftermarket CVs? OEM CV’s are pretty tough to break.

1998 LX470: temporary deceleration at highway speed

This may not be the same issue, or relevant to you, but I had some recent issues that I would like to outline in case it helps anyone. I was having an issue when on the highway in 4th gear (2000, so OD) around 2k RPM, my RPM would hop a little. It would bounce down 100rmp and come back and...
