Update: I brought this 4 week old battery to Toyota. The service dept ran a diagnostic, identified it as malfunctioning and replaced under warranty.
I’m going to keep a close eye on voltage before starting, LMK if you have any other advice of what to look for now that I have a new battery in...
Yes, this is a brand new Toyota TrueStart. One more piece of info - this AM I was able to charge the battery from completely dead (10.5v) to charged (12.7v) in under an hour with a 12A stand alone charger with the battery out of the vehicle. Based on the 20A 165 minute reserve capacity rating...
Hi folks,
I've got a 2005 LX with 120k miles. I had a 5yo battery that was not starting every now and then, so I replaced it 4 weeks ago with a Toyota 710CCA 165RC Group 27F. Everything was fine post-install (outdoor temps 40-70f) until I went to the mountains for the kids spring break this past...
I have been using the TechStream VM for years with an old ThinkPad and it has worked flawlessly. Unfortunately the ThinkPad bit the dust, and I'm looking for a new laptop. I have a Dell Percision 5760 work computer, and a USB-C docking station, so I'm tempted to get another Dell laptop that will...
Whirly Bird this looks awesome! I have the no-cut on order for my white LX, still need to make a decision on a front bumper. Do you have a build thread or can you post some more pics of the front end?
I have been taking all of my AHC readings with the engine running... I'm pretty sure you can also run techstream in ACC.
As noted in some of the AHC threads, you may have to cycle between N and L to get the pressures to show up.
FYI, several times with the VM techstream has all but frozen...
OEM, I ordered this cable which I believe was originally linked in post #1... There is now a different cable linked that looks the same... but mine works.
Then you just follow the steps in post #1... Install the VM etc. Getco pre-installed TechStream V. 12.20.024 in the VM.
This is a breeze...
This is awesome! I was paranoid I was missing something... but it's literally just plug and play
Checked AHC pressures (which were high), changed some lock settings and made it so the sunroof won't open and dump in a load of snow when my son plays with the keys (yes this happened).
Thx Getco
Those Tundra wheels look great... $200 seems like a good deal too. I've been cruising Craigslist for a set, will wrap with 275/70/18 KO2s when I get em.

First post from a long time lurker. Picked up a 2005 LX470 after 6 months of searching.
Set up Autotrader text alerts and was able to purchase this Truck within 12hrs of it going online (after a 4hr pre-dawn drive to Bakersfield). Truck has 73k miles, single owner (doctors wife), garage kept...
