I like the idea of a drawer fridge, but I already have the ARB system. Something like that DFG tilting slide works likely since my concerns, I'll give it a look.
I have only recently gotten into the drawer system game, but outside of losing the third row, I cant imagine any of the negatives being so cumbersome that I would want to remove it. The utility it provides is fantastic! and I find loading groceries on top of it very adequate, in fact it reduces...
thanks for the reply, that's kind of what I figured. the 100 series has a little bit more of an opening maybe, but not much. I am currently running a RTIC ice chest so its not a problem as I can remove the chest, but the long term goal would be to ditch the ice.
What size fridge are you...
Hi all,
I have spent hours searching different drawer system photos regarding fridges or coolers. 90% of these photos are just glamor shots of the fridge sitting inside the rig all tucked away on the drawer system. I just picked up a used ARB drawer system in the classifieds (thanks!) with the...
if its still available and you decide to part it out, and you part out the rails to Hokie, I may be interested in the four plastic end caps if shipping to California is reasonable.
I redid my original split bench and love it.
They only used that seat from 71 to 72 from what I remember (with the center fixed for the fuel vent unit) before they went to buckets in 73.
Also aftermarket seats usually don't look like they belong alot of the time with the tank and under seat...
Thanks for the input, more or less what I was looking to hear, I'll save this muncie for its intended use, parts or spare for a 2wd truck I built with a 400 pontiac.
Can I ask how your clutch was setup? adapting a slave cyl to the GM bellhousing? or using a hydraulic internal throwout bearing? or somehow adapting the oem slave cylinder setup?
I get the gearing isn't optimal for off road use, but my 40 will probably see only tame off road use. I just got my original F engine running better, but if I decide down the road to go with a SBC V8 it would be interesting to use up some parts I already have laying around, and one of those is a...
First thought is always reupholster, but I have procar seats by scat in my 72 K5 because the oem buckets we're long gone. Somewhere around $260 for a compete manual reclining bucket. And they are pretty "period" feeling in styling. Simple to adapt to my stock blazer seat frames, some Fab...
In CA you will need to get approval by a REFEREE for a engine that wasn't available in your Make/Model (Like on a jeep you CAN swap a 2.5L 4cyl for a 4.0L I6 if they were both offered in the same vehicle new from the factory, assuming same year and all equipment was in place)
Also worth noting...
Took it for a test drive on the new rubber. WAY less twitchy/drifty down the road than the chucked bias plies on the old rims. Small list of things added to the intake seal needing repair, but pleased with the progress so far...
Looks good. I did something similar on a Model A Hot Rod project I am working on, but I used a sheet metal panel and a "old school" set of hole saws and a dremel to trim it out.
Having REAL monitoring with proper gauges is always a solid upgrade.
Thanks!
When I was younger I was much more of a "it has to be perfect" kind of guy, now I am much more accepting (and even pleased with) the aged look (hate the word Patina but I guess it applies)
With a gray body though, white just does not flow. Black on gray is the way to go. Glad whoever...
Wheels are in and on!
I am thrilled with the stance and feel of the aluminum rims (Thanks Eric) The stock rims I ALMOST bought are great, but they just didn't feel right for the aged rugged rig I am going for. These aluminum Centerline rims and 10.5" mud tires do alot better job at getting...
The tops alone on these sell for a grand all day long in California... In Northern cali that would be listed for sale for $4500 and probably sell quick... quicker if the engine ran (or was even in it) but thats not a deal breaker, the F is more nostalgic than great...
buy it. I don't see...
