So, this weekend saw new O2 sensors, and I finally put the fuel filter in that has been laying in its box in my pile of parts since I bought the 80.
02 sensors didnt make any difference, and then the fuel filter came next, test drive had it do it right out of the gate and then it got better...

Im not even sure where I'd buy a new VFM if thats what was wrong.........
Do you suspect that? I could always wiggle its connector and examine that its tight and not moving I suppose.
Update, after a new fuel pump, a new fuel pressure regulator, and adjusting kick down cable and installing new throttle cable, its still acting up on the way to work yesterday morning.
Yesterday afternoon it ran flawlessly, and this morning it did it once on the way to work.

When i hit about 45-50 MPH I have a power loss, like its not getting enough fuel. Thing is, it isnt constant, it almost pulsates like an intermittent miss would. I dont see a change in speedo or tach, but feel it lose...
The TPS was adjusted correctly 6 months ago, and no I havent checked O2 sensors yet, they're brand new and worked fine for 2 weeks.
I'm more concerned that I get both of these lights at the same time out of the blue for no apparent reason, and why.
Are codes 21 and 41 both codes that will trip...
Truck has been running great.
Yesterday on my way hone from work, MIL lamp came on at the kids daycare, and idle was weird, high and then back to normal.
On my way to work this morning (20 miles, mixed driving) it ran like a top, until right before i got there, light came on. Truck runnning...
Update. I got about .75 MPG better last tank, but it’s only one tank (although my commute is pretty consistent). Drivability is far better (smoother) but remember mine was stuck open.
No change in power, still running cats.
