I wouldn't think so either. I think the only way you're going to get into trouble is if you cause some sort of major accident and hurt/kill someone and a lawyer and/or insurance company catches on to it. There are a million threads out there discussing exactly that but there aren't too many...
Payload is funny, I spent probably 10 years 4x4ing before I even realized I should care about it, because for the most part, Toyotas handle it just fine.
Once I went down that rabbit hole it was a real WTF moment realizing how much I'd been officially close to or over payload. But it all makes...
It's funny too, any forum discussion re: payload almost always devolves into two camps:
1. Payload is just a number, no one gets in legal trouble, that's an internet myth, if your truck can handle it, you're good
2. I am going to weigh everything precisely and I am keeping my rig in line with...
This is the one that's been throw around the Tundra world lately. But it's kind of an extreme case and gets into the "He should have had a CDL" territory. Lot of bad choices here...
I've written out a similar comment elsewhere but it feels like the US Toyota marketing dept. was handed the 250 and told to make some sales. So they threw every buzzword in the book at it - just look on their site. "Next generation offroad excellence," "Trail tested for bold expeditions," etc...
So if I'm understanding this correctly, the door sticker on an actual vehicle is showing 1100 lb payload? Do we know if that cruiser has a dealer-added yellow weight reduction sticker on top of that?
So in a 250 if you have say a family of 4 weighing in at a conservative 450-500 lbs, you have...
Check out around 8:20 in this video, the FSM for the 1HD-FTE is labeled IN/EX.
Should be the same for the 1HD-FT. Intake on cold side, exhaust on hot side
I disconnected it last year when I installed an intercooler. I don't remember it being loose.
That's the connection for power for the intake heater right? So I would imagine it should be tight or you risk a funky connection.
Sorry to see that. Are you heading north?
In SLC, you could take it to a few places but they're most likely closed til Monday.

Amber film would work. Or paint - I painted some clear BMW taillights red back in the day with something similar to this and they turned out great:

I believe you're right, that's what I figured from the parts diagram:

Looks awesome, congrats!
I think it's a solid plan. I'm in the middle of renovating my garage - not nearly as good of a setup as yours - but here's a few things I've run into as I've been working on cramming a full workspace into a garage that I didn't build and design:
- Make sure you triple...
Has anyone tried a windshield protection film similar to PPF? I’ve only heard of it on exotics that are spending 15k at the detail shop.. but if you were confident that your 80 windshield was installed properly I wonder if it would be nice to add that to extend the lifespan of the glass
- edit - I'm not gonna clog up this thread with talk about rust. With all due respect if you think that serious rust issues don't matter until the frame has holes in it, I think we're on two different wavelengths and there's not much else to be said. I can't stand rust. I would fluid film a car...
Not all of us complainers... I bought a '21 200 brand new and if I could buy one of these in the US, it would be in my garage right now:
But I realize there aren't that many people in my situation. My wife and I drove an LX600 last year and were considering buying one but several things...
