Your confusing TTB with a solid axle....this is why people are posting links to the articles. or maybe you meant DANA 50 TTB from a F250? TTB was used in the Ford F-250 from 1980 to 1997. Some people do make frankenstein beams with d44 inner and D50 outer for increased strength... I didnt...

Tundra.... well.... 10.5 ring gear.... Just about the right width...and it was free. If it gives me problems.... I will just setup to a fabricated rear axle housing and full floater etc... For now I have to draw the line in the sane at some point and just keep moving forward with the build.

The engine and beams are in! If it looks like a lot of uptravel, it's because there is. More uptravel than most FJ's have in total! The benefits of @dertco not compromising and putting things were he wants. The frame rails, crossmember and mounting points have been put in the best place...

37's + uptravel means it was time to break out the sawzall and the plasmacutter. Gone os most of the rear end sheet metal and some of the quarter. Still keeping the framerail but putting a nice notch in there...... so pretty much #backhalfed . Trailer Products fiberglass (Race version/no gas...

Fixed thanks, basically.....looks like NITRO gear is falsely advertising as 300M when it is actually not......kind of a big deal in my book. Looks like Yukon is the patent holder and original maker of these hardened HD u-joints and nitro and CTM basically are copy cats....big no-no in my book...
