Forgive an unproductive question but I haven’t seen a lot of guys on this forum replacing Dual 4’s with any sort of success. 4” driver just isn’t a lot of cone area to move air, neither is 6” but there seems to be a number of beefy drivers out there that folks have had “success with”. After...
Why u use the factory harness…for steering wheel control ? Android hu>dsp>amp with new 12gusge ofc speaker wire would be optimal for the quality of gear you bought
That amp doesn’t put out enough power for that skar. I’m sure the sub amp channel out the amp is filtered to limit to low frequencies so get a low power handling 8 ohm woofer off parts express with relatively high sensitivity and it will be an improvement. Probably keep you from having depth...
Doesn’t sound that crazy given how we’ve seen prices go bananas. Miles isn’t crazy high, lot of mods. Feel like guys are putting higher mile with less mods out there for 12-13k
It’s your buddy…Which is great but also bad. 100’s constantly need maintenance so wouldn’t want you to be mad at him when that’s kinda the reality for most of em. 2001’s are pretty available on the market but peace of mind to know your buddy has likely baselined it and kept up on maintenance has...
Update, rotors were at 29.5 thickness so they have to be replaced. Wheel bearings are pretty new. Is it hard to remove the bearing races inner/outer. Was gonna repack the bearings
Check this forum on spark plugs. Aren’t the oems reboxed denso iridium? Ngk makes good stuff too.
Plenty on here too about ahc refresh/repair. Guys getting new globes from impex well priced. CruiserTeq.com is great for a ton of things including oem parts.
Got 15 responses with no response. Love the loyalty on this forum and guys willing to help troubleshoot (some even in person)
p-metric tire seem to always be massive help in this area for those sensitive to ride quality. May have to take plunge to the dealership or indy Toyota shop of...
@Trunk Monkey and @SteveH thanks for the responses. I have new pads ready to get put on and will have a brake fluid exchange as well. The third part of that was ideally getting the rotors turned on vehicle, not replacing them as they were new about 25-30k miles ago. They are brembo “premiums”...
So here it goes. I have about 25k on my current brake pads and rotors. Lately though I’ve been experiencing a rotational vibration when I softly apply the brakes to reduce speed. When I need to stop and press firmly on the brake pedal the car stops instantly (yay) . In any of these circumstances...
Is it behind that little tweeter panel in the corner of the door like it is on the 2003’s? If so it’s cake. Pull that plastic piece off you’ll see the tweeter bolted onto a metal bracket bolted on the door. Remove bracket, swap tweeter and put back together. If your using factory amp buy...
So I removed my console when I took out the disc changer. I used the factory changer mounting bracket to mount my 4 channel mid/highs amp upright and also was quite curious why that plate was kindy rusty (I still see more silver but rust nontheless)
at the time I didn’t think anything becuase...
If your 4runner is dialed in and you’re even nervous about spending even half of 5k, flip that cruiser asap. You’ll do a basic baseline (timing belt and water pump kit, tires, fluids)…and then something else will need to be replaced. I love my 100 but I miss how low budget my 1999 4runner...
