@drivel111 I agree on taking a look at the Canvasback tailgate cover. I had one on my 4Runner for 5 years and it wore well, and it was one of the first things I added to my LC. If you order, be sure to let them know that you are not using their cargo liner, and that they need to put the Velcro...
Wow, that's unfortunate that your dealer isn't helping. My dealer (Ed Martin Toyota in Indianapolis) gave me a set free for my Heritage. They did aftermarket bumpers, so had several laying around.
If someone here on MUD had some they didn't want, it might be cheaper to ship theirs than order new.
Here's our route, beginning January 9 for an undetermined length of time. Long days behind the wheel are long past for me. We plan to wander along at a leisurely pace with frequent breaks, stopping two nights on the way south.
Fortunately, we'll be bringing a restaurant and motel with us. ;)
At my current rate (20200 miles in 35 months), It will be 37 more years until I get to that odometer reading. Which would put me at 107 years old, so I'll probably be driving even less per year by then... o_O
I was just going to mention that there seemed to be an inordinate number of Oliver Trailers going to Alaska this year, plus the few that live there permanently. Other than a few stone chips and one broken leaf on a spring pack, I never read or saw any problems mentioned.
I still don't know that...
McMaster~Carr just published what Accuride advertises. See the attached PDF Spec sheet. I bought them back in June, and drilled holes to match my mounting locations, so no returning them now. I don't think added crossbars would help. The first (largest) section is not flexing at all, and even if...
I've done exactly what you are considering. I worked with Kyle and Andy on trying to fit my National Luna 90 Twin into their ADGU system with the drawer slides on the side, but I just didn't have the room. They could have made the drawer narrower for me, but then several components would have...
Not something I'd ever be interested in.
I got a chuckle from this over the top article title.

I am very pleased with the quality and design of Andy and Kyle's product! And working with them to modify my design was a joy. My homemade fridge slide isn't working as well as I'd hoped, but that's not an ADGU problem, and based on input from the guys, it is much better than an alternative...
Originally I had the front edge tucked under the OEM trunk liner. This summer I added the Air Down Gear Up system, and the rear mounting rail ended up about 1/8” forward of the already installed Velcro stop on the carpet. Couldn’t have asked for a better fit!
Note the wear from two plus years...
@arun1 Note that if you are getting just the tailgate piece and not the full liner, you will need to ask them to make a modification. As designed, the tailgate piece has the front velcro on the upper side to attach to the mating velcro on the bottom of the liner. If you have no liner, you need...
To power my National Luna 90 Twin I simply have an extension cord laying in the driveway, and when I’m home, I plug it into a pigtail hanging out the bottom of the bumper.
When camping with the trailer, it is plugged into the 630 A/h of lithium battery, and when not home or camping, it uses a...
Did a little off-pavement driving in our travels around Kentucky last week. Managed to get through without resorting to 4-low.
We also took a hazardous route through tall grass to boondock at Whiskey Thief Distillery. Having friends who are friends of the owner has its benefits! My...
Happy to help! We really are enjoying our trailer. There is a wonderful owners forum on Oliver’s web site with years of fabulous resources and helpful people. There’s also an Oliver Owners Facebook group. Let me know if you have any questions or want specific photos.
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on here in a while.
The 2023 Oliver changed to a compressor fridge, and runs only on 12/120V. I have it on all the time, including at home in the driveway. The draw is low, and the solar more than makes up for it.
If you opt for either lithium package...
Nice pair you have there! We just picked up a 23’ Oliver this March and absolutely love it. It is our first trailer other than our Hiker 5x8 squaredrop. Quite a step up. We’re using an Andersen weight distribution hitch, and so far it tows great.
S3 for us. We were "that" close to ordering. We'd been to see David twice, and toured a trailer that someone here ordered before they even had a chance to see it. Then they found that you couldn't put a weight distribution hitch on it (I have the Andersen on the Oliver) and prices rose by huge...
