guys i have a question maby you can help me with. first let me set the stage a little bit here. the trans in question here is a aw450-43le out of a 2004 isuzu nqr withe 4he1 now i bolted this trans to a 4d34 mitubishi engine and installed it in to my 94 toyota landcruiser now this transmission...
well i cant quite make heads or tails in a situation of my own i have a 94 fjz80 that i am finishing up the
diesel swap in now . an the harness is a three wire with a post for battery and the alt i want to use is a two wire with a battery post . from your reading it must mean its a external...
The mitsy 4d34 had a vac pump already in the timeing cover i resealed it aswell. For the brakes all i need to do is plimb in a vac canister witht the main going to the brake booster and bam done
They both have the exact same two wire alt plug aswell.. as where the lc harness has three wires . One is s or sence one is ignition and thebother is l or load i believe
@mjosoba ant ideas on how i can make the mitsy alternator work?. Ask around and see what you can find out . Oddly the isuzu 4he1 runs the exact same alternator just with the vacume pump on the back smae drilled holes and all.
From what i can figure out theu google and rdo truck center the mitsubishi alt is brushless. And internaly regulated just like the lc alt however the lc plug is three prong and the mits as you can see is two... what do i do from here folks?.
Update! Have the timeing cover resealed and injection pump should be here tommaro. Trans and ect is ready now just to install the injection pump time it up. Then figure out how to wire a two prong mitsubishi alternator to out three prong lc plug
Update . Timeing cover gaskets and seals are in the way. Holidays are screwing up my time line for this but none the less moveing forward. Have the mitsubishi bellhoyseing and torqconverter inplace and ready.
Now to find a 2at mechanical injection pump for it. Also i called my local fuso dealer witch is 400 miles east of me in omaha . They sent me the proper injection pump timeing and installation procedure via pdf.
The idea for most of us anyway is to engineer literaly an easy nuts and bolts swap with out a bunch of mess or modding . Now if we had decent acess to the jdm diesels and they didnt cost 15k to bring here that would be nice but sence we are the bastards of the epa we got the shaft on that.
@mudgudgeon trust me i thought about all possablitys before i had no choice but to get te mitsy. now if i wanted a 4 inch body lift and beat the hell out of the oil pan and drill a holt in the passenger fire wall for the turbo i could make it work but i Dont want to beat on it .
Well it saves time and money if you can do that and the 4he1s oil pan is to wide to go any farther forward and obvoiusly can bot go back . I have a 3 inch lift on mine and it still wont clear the pinion shaft flange . So even if it fits you have no suspention articulation.
Iam guessing lines aswell?. Reason i ask is i got a 99 4d34 with aw450 bell amd converter on its way and the electronic pump is not something i have time or patients to wire up so if i can run a full mechanical pump i would prefer it.
