    Fj62 - throwing codes 25 and 26 together.

@tstockto do you mind sharing where the VSV is?

So I need to remove the manifold? Are the harnesses inside or underneath?

    Fj62 - throwing codes 25 and 26 together.

CEL came back on again today. I know I'm running rich too because I can smell gas when driving. Has anyone ever cracked the nut on this? Thanks

High CO% Causing Smog Failure - Any Ideas?

Thanks! How do I test my air pump?

High CO% Causing Smog Failure - Any Ideas?

Interesting. Would that be a correlation or a causation to the CO being high?

High CO% Causing Smog Failure - Any Ideas?

Howdy all, 1988 FJ62 330k miles - failed smog twice. Both times were due to high CO (report below). In the past few months, I have: (In order of most recently performed) - Throttle body cleaned - checked coolant temp circuit at ECU - replaced coolant temp sensor - new AC compressor - replaced...

I've tired everything under the sun. Just have learned to live with it and like I said, reset the EFI every now and then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@DaveGins No sir. Pulling the EFI fuse stops it for a while. Usually comes back after a roadtrip

    Check Engine Light - 25, 26, 51

@Crewzen @Code Red not really... I found a bit of a leak in the vacuum and fixed it but the light still comes on, sporadically. I drove 800 miles to Nevada, no light. I drove 10 miles around town, light comes on. It doesn't make any sense! I also have the 38g tank. Seems to run fine and I too...

    Check Engine Light - 25, 26, 51

@tstockto thanks for sharing that! It feels exactly like what I'm suffering from. I'm not that technical, could you elaborate on where that AIR VSV is located? Thanks!

    Check Engine Light - 25, 26, 51

@FJ Silver thanks for the reply and the kind words! I do have the 38g tank as well and it is usually pretty pressurized when I remove the cap. I'll look into that. Out of curiosity, how did you solve for that? I think 51 has something to do with my AC. I recently had it repaired and when it's...

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. First off, I want to apologize to all the Mudders for harping on this issue. Secondly, I want to thank everyone in advance for reading. Since I've owned this truck, I get these three codes. Not all the time. And oddly enough, after I've done work, they seem...

Does anyone know if it matters which side of the truck the tire sits on? Drivers vs passenger? Thanks
