I'd like to install 33x10.5x15 BFG Muds on stock 1982 Toyota LC white spokes fitted to my BJ42 with a 2" lift. Will I need to add wheel spacers in order not to rub under normal road driving conditions or will they clear on their own? Thanks for the help.
I would be interested in the 24v glow system parts ie. primary and secondary glow plug relay, glow plug timer etc. What do you have available and what price?

New H55f's with the fine spline not available to my knowledge. For the longer trips, I would like to drop those RPM's a bit at 65 mph. I know, drop the mph. On California freeways, I'm a stationary road hazard at 60 mph.
So it sounds like the internals are all the same with the fine spline input...
H55 experts speak up.
I want to swap out the 4 spd in my 1982 BJ42 for an H55. Do I source a used H55 with a fine spline for the 3B and rebuild it or buy a new H55 coarse spline and convert it? What other internal parts besides the input shaft would I need to convert the tranny to match up to...
Thanks for the response fellas.
I believe it's the super glow system and I'm running new Toyota 14.4v glow plugs per specs for this application. I do feel like it's just not getting the proper voltage to the plugs. I've checked all connections and everything looks good but still low voltage...
I've got a 1982 (Canadian market) BJ42/3B - build date 6/82 with all the original glow equipment. The glow cycle has always been about 10 seconds in length and fired right up on the first turn, hot or cold. I've just completed an engine rebuild and am in the break-in period now. Once the motor...
Hey Keith,
Sorry for the late response. This has been a nightmare for sure. When the crank let go, it cracked the the #2 main journal. The interior of the motor looked good so the plan was to just replace the crank, but when we went to lay it, we felt and under closer examination, saw the crack...
Oh, and by the way, what felt like clutch slippage was clutch slippage. The rear main had been soaking the parts and along with noticable wear, there were definite hot spots on the pressure plate and glassy spots on the disk. Easy and cheap to remedy.
I believe the indicated KM's on this motor after peaking inside. I bought it with 76,000 indicated and have put an additional 26,000 km's since 2007. There is very little wear on any of the parts including the bearings. Other than the obvious, it looks really good inside with strong compression...
Thanks for the replies fellas. After wearing out my phone, I've got a reground 3B crank with bearings on the way. For those curious, I will be placing some photos of the "defective" crank on my post "Loud 3B Knock".
