This weekend I spent doing little things. I’ll change some connectors to Deutsch. I’m missing the mating connectors to some harnesses and have unlimited supply of all Deutsch products. Also a $1500 crisper that kept after a project ended.
I can’t find the two hoses that come out of the...
It is fairly simple and parts are not terribly expensive. It’s great because you also run the heated coolant (195F) into a small radiator in the back of the truck inside the quarter panel and a small thermostatic controlled fan will heat up the cab and the tent. And… you have instant hot water...
Next would be instant hot water and a diesel hydronic heater. 😀. Hot shower mid day with the sun drying you in the middle of the desert
is a game changer. You do have room I think between the frame rails and TC.
Thanks. I'm using a wire loom from a Euro 73 and some connectors are just a mystery. Also, How high is your cabinet on the passenger side and how wide is the counter top. I'm trying to sort a National Luna fridge, but want it built in similar to my 80 series.
Tommy, do you by chance have the EWD of a troopy?
Also use hose clamps that don’t score the rubber. They are much better.

So some bad new and some good news. I am pulling the drivetrain out and swapping the engine.
I just came across a 1HDFT that a good friend sold me. Less than 100k miles. Could not resist. Would be nice to have both 80 and the troopy with the same engine. I know it's a bit insane, but none of us...
Sure. In Hawaii for a week. Troopy gets to rest. I like these windows. Got them from Alex at FitGarage all 4 for about $1K. They recommend drilling and screwing. I did not like that so I used Sika 221.
The inside the 70 side windows is very ‘rustic’. I’m planning to fill the gap...
What about heat insulation? You probably need it more than me. 😀
Or I guess the 5 KW Espar will keep the place toasty. We have one in a Sprinter van and in 12 min brought it from 18F to 52F.
mmm. I found the sub harness for the heater control. I think it’s a later model harness because the connectors don’t match. I’ll have to identify the 2 and find a way to mate them with the evaporator.
I guess from all aspects I’m building a car from scratch.
Having issues with the two...
Ok. I figured some of the brackets. Also the dash actually fits.
Does anyone knows the part numbers that connect to the two connectors on the evaporator? Also where the two brackets that are sitting on the transmission hump go?
