I finally picked up my big baby from the mechanics and got her all road legal yesterday after 6 weeks of work at home to save costs and 3 weeks at mechanics after I bought her for a low price but with many repairs needed to be road legal...front bearings replaced, front diff seal replaced, LPG...
Just wondering how these bulbs worked for you? Have you got some pics of them all light up? Have just begun replacing all bulbs with LEDS in my 93 FZJ80.
My D light is out - changed the bulb, triple checked it and still nothing. Wondering if it has something at all to do with the loose feeling in the gear shift when changing into drive??
Maybe a whole new gear indicator panel from the wreckers or hopefully not something bigger???
Anyone get any...
I realize this is a very old thread but I am a noobie to being the very proud owner of my FZJ80 and to this forum. Wanting to totally deck my baby out with LEDs and do it right. I'm in Melbourne Australia so ill definitely keep Mot in mind if he's still in the LED business!?! Any pointers/ words...
awesome pictures!! Thanks for sharing. We're in Melbourne. Just got our FZJ80 3 weeks ago and will definitely be looking for some beautiful places in S.A to explore. Will keep an eye on your posts.
I changed the rear sway bar links and pulled out the dash to begin installing the LEDs that are on their way to me. First jobs - only had her for 3 weeks.
Occurred to me not long ago that I should have done some research before I bought these ones off eBay for $25. There are probably more durable brands that I could have installed for just a few more $$. But the old ones were definitely shot and thes ones will do a much better job for now.

Sounds just like my story. I just got my truck 3 weeks ago 93 FZJ80 after years of dreaming. Is also for family trips and nothing extreme.
I have already begun some work on her myself but do have to fork over a large sum to a mechanic before she's on the road. But all in all, worth every cent...
I'm a noobie too!! Had my 93 FZJ80R for 3 weeks after 5 years of dreaming. still getting some work done on her, waiting patiently (19 days and counting down) before she will be legally ready and safe to drive. But she is a beauty and I am so excited. Also very happy to be spending the money for...
Hi All!! Another noobie here :)
I was guided to this thread in my quest to find the answer to a burning question as to what is the difference between the FZJ80 & the FZJ80R?? I searched and searched and couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere - even my local Toyota parts guy didn't know what I...
