Question on this. My splitcase on my h55 has square bolt pattern. Driveshaft and axles are from 74 fj40.
Does anyone sell a yoke I can swap on thr shaft?
or is output flange only option?
While this is challenging, and lots of issues on all sides. To be clear, the emergency order is not...shelter in place. Oregon declared a state of emergency on march 8th, 2020, and shelter in place was announced March 23rd. The state of emergency grants certain powers/budget control.
So to be clear, you are saying that a pre-85 4-speed shifter is what would be ideal. yes?
Or are you saying pre-85 5-speed shifter. I ask because not knowing all of this I pulled the 5-speed out of a beater FJ60 I bought and put a 4-speed in. But put all the shifter and transfer case...
Just now seeing this. I actually just wound up offset grinding the factory crankshafts and having custom rods/pistons made. The goal was to get the compression up without taking so much meat off the deck of the head...though it does help with high lift head flow...just not worth it for...
For my own learning...any chance you could label those shifters from top to bottom? I'm curious what they all are.
I think the big question I have is this. Do these change the fitment on the tranny/t-case IE some will fit and others won't or is the BIG difference the change in where the lever...
This is going into a 74 FJ40 and came out of an 85 FJ60. I the 4-speed and 5-speed shifter the same? When you say pre-85, do you mean pre-85 FJ60 or FJ40? (I assume FJ60)
