@Kernal Amazing - thank you for posting this! I'm replacing all of my calipers/pads/hoses and encountered this issue with the right rear hose as well. The problem for me occurred when trying to remove the hard-line nut from the hose; I got within 2-3 threads of removing it but it just kept...
I can’t tell from the video, but check out the thread below and see if this matches your observations:

I ordered the L and R extensions off of PartSouq. You will want to make sure that the two bumper supports/stays are not bent, which can throw your front bumper off-center from the grill and headlights above it. One of mine was bent, so I used a small sledge hammer to tap it back its original form.
I just replaced my existing original front bumper and L and R extensions (end caps) with new OEM parts. There is no adjustability to them. Here's a shot of mine:
FWIW... for the head gasket job, I pulled the head on my 80 series with the engine still in the vehicle and sent it to EnginesXtreme in Lewisville for a valve job. I'm not sure that they work on a lot of Toyotas but they did a great job on mine. You definitely have to be flexible for that kind...
I just used Mayo Automotive in Lewisville for my Toyota Avalon and had great service. He advertises that he specializes in Toyota and Lexus and works on cruisers, too, but I’m sure not to the extent that Dadja does.
Amazing, this is GOLD. Thank you for posting this @clx16. I was investigating this exact same noise yesterday morning; that kind of irregular, clackety rattle when the engine was cold. Using my stethoscope I was hearing the noise loudest on the timing cover just above the timing marks; I'm...
I'm a little late to the "noob gets a welder" party, but I picked up a new Miller 215. My goals are to learn and maybe build my own BBQ equipment someday. I know I over-bought, but I liked the flexibility of learning the different processes. Now, I gotta buy all the other stuff like safety...
I had the exact same issue on my ‘97 at 282k. Premium fuel helped some, but not 100%. I was burning about 1 qt every 400 miles, so I pulled the head and had a valve job done, along with injector reconditioning by WitchHunter and a new fuel filter; everything else done was new...
I have used Longo Toyota of Prosper a couple of times; their internet pricing is very competitive and you can save quite a bit on shipping if you make the drive out there to pick up the parts.
I had mine done about 6 months ago. At a minimum, I know the shop:
Disassembled the valves and thoroughly cleaned the head.
Installed new intake and exhaust valve seals, which I gave to them.
Lapped valves and valve seats, and whatever else they billed me for as "machine work".
Resurfaced the...
I inserted the tool from the side of the head. Here is a description of what I did, from the perspective of sitting on the passenger wheel well hump where the air filter housing rests:
Imagine that the top of the lifter bucket is a clock face, with the 6 o'clock position closest to you.
With...
I just did this back in November, using the two-piece tool (the plier thingy for compressing the valve spring and the brace for making it stay in place). It took me quite a bit of time to figure out exactly:
Which end of the brace to use.
Where on the lip of the lifter to apply the brace.
What...
