Physics. I deal with pumps at work all the time. The largest is 4,000HP. If you recycle discharge back to suction and the delta P across the pump is high, due to the inefficiency of the pump and adiabatic heating, the fluid heats up. Our fuel pumps are small scale but they can eventually...
Nope. All you need to do is make sure the voltage is the same. Battery A/hr ratings are just that, a rating for how many amps per hour you can pull out of the battery before pulling the voltage too low. Renogy.com is a more wordy
Amp-hours, or Ah for short, are a unit of measure for a battery's...
Is that the El Hombre I know from BiBe Chat?
Either way, the book he recommended is the one that I have (mine might be a little older) and it's great. Especially if it's your first time in the area. Honestly, both places are going to be busy. Telluride is a little more upscale. I've stayed at...
Ouray is full of cool places to go. It'll be a bit crowded there this time of year. Ophir Pass is fun. That's south of town. Go north and at Ridgeway turn west on 62, not far after the scenic turnout (2.5-ish miles) you'll come to a dirt road that heads south (left turn). That's Last Dollar...
Mine does that occasionally. I haven't found the problem. The center bolt that holds the front skid plate on finally gave up. It was stripped out when I bought it and I tapped it to the next larger size. When it started "humming" I was poking around under the car and noticed that the bolt was...
I have the Staun deflators and I thought that 18 psig was too low. I like 25 psig. I've had a rock go through the outer lug of a new KO2 (diesel pickup) that was at full pressure and never had a problem on the same road aired down to 25. It's also faster to inflate back to normal pressure. Less...
Ok. I don't think you can open the hood to charge the battery without getting in. The Lishi, once the lock is turned, can be used to decode the pins. It's not easy or a slam dunk. Maybe the better bet would be to contact a locksmith. That way there is no appearance issues.
Lishi Tool $54.00
Lock Picking Lawyer on YouTube has videos that demonstrate the use of a Lishi. I've tried the padlock versions and they are astonishingly easy to use. The saving grace for automotive is the electronic security systems that come in newer (20 years old is newer to me). So a...
It's under the hood just in front of air filter box. I keep the power cable for it coiled up and pass an extension cable in from underneath of the bumper I need to make something to secure it better but it hasn't moved so far. I looked for a photo but I don't have one.
