I bought mine from someone who tried to change the interior color. It's s***, don't do it, cost me a lot to replace/fix everything back to tan and I still haven't done the seats.
Was out wheeling a couple weekends ago and suddenly op while holding on a hill, slightly off camber the brake pedal started to sink. The truck still held and still stops even now, but it is crazy soft, like to the floor. I do feel it gradually start to brake even with just a little pedal effort...
So I did get the truck started. Pulled the radio, cleaned up a lot of wires, put everything back together, threw some cables on it and she fired right up.
Now what I don't know is if some part of the alarm had kicked in and just got reset by the battery not being hooked up for a week or if it...
I'll give the ideas a whirl when i get home, of course I had to fly out today @ 5am for work.
It does have the VIP alarm, I've had the starter cutoff relay die and this is same symptoms. I thought it was the battery that time around. It may be this time, I did notice when the truck was off...
earlier today I pulled my head unit to run the splitter for my new FM/CB splitter. Put everything back and everything seemed to work.
Started up truck, turned it around to begin cleaning the back.
Noticed the radio was in but no sound, no biggie I've had a short in the new speakers before and...
$85 on helminc.com, less for the LX450 ($80).
And they carry multiple years for cruisers, I don't get why people think it is so hard to find, when they are all right there.
Before and after of the B Pillar plastic. If anyone needs to know: KleenStrip Aircraft paint remover for flexible plastic, works great. I can also pretty much guarantee it contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer :smokin:
Finally have almost gathered the whole new (to me) interior. Replaced all 4 door panels already
Found a new (old) shifter console, waiting on my center console to come in.
Decided to go with a LX450 interior, mainly because they seem easier to find than an FZJ80 part out.
Also deleted the rear...
PO removed everything, dynamated and then laid down 1/2 inch dynaliner (thick foam padding). He left the ratty padding on the carpet and there were a lot of fit issues.
I'm about to replace with a new to me properly colored carpet (to relplace the one he painted), I'm thinking with all the...
Brand new door switches. Dome works when 'on' not at 'door', also don't have the door lights. It's like the rear half of the truck is dead except locks/windows work and dome works on the switch.
It's under the passenger front seat mounted to the bracket for rear heat

I'm trying to figure out why my rear doors open don't trigger any lights, no door open alert and aren't recognized by the alarm (but will unlock with fob, doors just lock again after 30 seconds if you open a...
I did mine a couple weeks ago with panels off, easy as anything, only a few minutes per door. I got it started and in as far as possible, then rolled up window until I could grab the bottom of the run and pull down
Everytime you post I look at the post and say ' I don't remember posting that' then I realize it wasn't me. Prolly doesn't help I use that my last name starts with S and I have that same username elsewhere.
I've got 2 sets of them, one with street tires (Duratracs) and the other for wheeling. I've beaten up the outer edges but for the most part they are still good on the wheeling set. Little bit of touch up now and then if I feel like it.
