You don't need to disassemble to check. Like @SpenserAK mentioned, just climb under the truck and see if the bel cranks move freely as the ebrake is applied and released. If yours are like mine, they need to be hammered in to fully release hence the dragging/squeaking sound if they do not...
This! Mine does the same thing, but I don't get the sound going forward, only in reverse. I need to tear it all apart and rebuild. @OTRAMM has a good video on removal and replacement of the ebrake assembly.
