I know of no tilt column ever factory installed on a 40 series. North America and a few other LHD markets had a collapsible steering column 8/80+. Have never seen on installed on a RHD. Even Australia's LX 40 series had a rigid one piece column.

Beat me too it. Anything is possible. But plan on more than a column. Steering shaft that steering wheel attaches to is part of the steering box. Wiring will need to be modified. I plan on updating my 65 FJ45. Will install a 9/72+ steering box pedestal and later steering bolt. Column will be...
