Peoples of Teh Interweb,
I have had a vintage high performance unit in my 1975 fj40 for a year or two, installed professionally by Avid Offroad (local cruiser specialist) here in AZ. Last few days or so, i've had an issue where the blower will stop working, and then mysteriously restart later...
I ordered a new flasher as id rather spend $12 than 2 hours digging around my electrics...o figured if it didnt fix it it is a 30 seconds fix and cheap. The relay hasn't arrived but now everything works again.
WOrked fine yesterday. Of note I have had all LED lights for years now with no issues prior to today.
Potentially important: Been raining today and yesterday when driving.
Dash signal lights turn on as do the actual indicator lights outside the truck, for both hazard and turn tignals. Just...
sorry just revisting this thread and saw your question. I'm not sure if the body i got is from the same year.
So as of now, as i can't find the title and my dad had not registered the truck in 25 years, the MVD can't locate any ownership. I am in the process of posting a bond to enable me to...
Ok..update time... I went up north to tow the vehicle back under the assumption that it really just needed some mechanical love. Unfortunately upon actual close inspection I realized the truck was a complete disaster. It had sat Ungaraged in the forest with rain and snow for close to 40 years...
just checking... it's almost a full tank of gas there and back from north phoenix.. last time i went was like 10 years ago. i have a pretty nice 75 '40.. and my 73 '55 is in the shop for the next 2 years probably
Will purchase new if necessary but looking to see if anybody wants to get rid of one of their Tuffy or cool Cruiser equivalent center consoles? Looking to relocate my in-dash stereo to between the seat
Soon as i can. My dad really did love that truck. I think he's had it for 38 maybe 39 years. His favorite thing was snow plowing in the winter with it.
Not his Fj55 but that's me and the fj40 last week at his office. Just showing the level of care i take with my cruiser...the 55 is gonna be nice when im done
