Hey I had this go missing a little awhile ago, so I made something but it’s not really air tight so I was wondering if I should replace this and would it make a performance difference?. If so any ideas where I could get one

Hey guys. Just in the process of installing the new turbo and was wondering what fuses you guys pull to prime the turbo or if you just add oil to the inlet and turn the turbine before installing/starting?ct20turbo

haha yeah. I babied it home and were doing alright, thanks for the help though. i am supposed to leave to oregon on the 31st so were getting on it right away. if any one has an idea why my interlock bypass isnt working anymore that would be great :)( previous issue) i checked all the fuses...

I added some and have been checking as I’ve been driving it short distances and I haven’t noticed any drips so maybe just under heavy load

I checked the atf fluid and it read full on the cold line so I’m a bit confused

Okay thanks I added some atf but I’m in Tofino and have to drive back Monday Soo I’ll try my best to keep it cool as I have no tools

An Any chance you have a diagram of where the trans cooler hoses go and such so I could give a quick check

Also my power steering fluid is brown

1991 Toyota surf automatic. It’s red which makes me think it’s trans.

Seems to be coming from the driver side of engine and half way up where the transmission meets the engine and coming down

Just drove 240km and got there to notice my transmission was leaking a decent amount. Any ideas cause I need to get home. I had my rad and injection pump replaced if that effects soemthing. Does the transmission run any hoses to the rad? Never noticed the leak before

i jumped into my truck and went to drive but the shifter button on my surf wouldn't compress. After a little bit of research i thought it could possibly be a fuse but after checking both fuse boxes everything looked good. I found a cheap full shifter assembly but after completely switching...

I actually had a bit of soot on my oil filter which is right below my manifold so I’ll pull the turbo off this weekend and check the manifold bolts. Maybe something came loose after the rebuild

In the ongoing story of owning a ln130, my engine developed a tapping sound only during acceleration. It sounds like it’s coming from the turbo or at least that side of the engine. Could it be a exhaust manifold leak or maybe the wastegate ? Any ideas

my automatic shifter is making a rapid clicking nose when i am siting in park and the shifter has a lot of play in it any idea? thanks in advance
