Protecting spare tire from deflation and pebbles/ gravel

Got a flat this weekend, that was so bad that it ripped open the tire. I then found out that the spare tire, which was mounted under the vehicle for the last 10+ years, was deflated. This caused the tire to separate from the rim, which allowed small gravel and pebbles to be wedged in between the...

Can a window motor be used to replace a seat motor in a 1995 TLC?

Thanks! I'm not sure how to "PM"? Can you email me at guinessmacdonald (at) gmail (dot)com? I'm interested in the seat motor. Thanks!

Can a window motor be used to replace a seat motor in a 1995 TLC?

I had a guy at a local upholstery shop install a new drivers side seat cushion, leather cover, seat heater, and seat controls (I pulled from a vehicle in the junkyard). Everything works great! The only remaining problem was that the seat back neither reclines or inclines. He said the problem...

Does this rattling noise mean by cat is shot?

Heat shields were the culprit! Thanks everyone for your help! Here's an after video (quieter now):

Does this rattling noise mean by cat is shot?

Thanks! I'll check the heat shields during lunch by banging on them. If they are loose, do I crimp the edges with pliers in the clouded area on the attached photo? Would a hose clamp be installed in this same area?

Does this rattling noise mean by cat is shot?

A couple of weeks after replacing the O2 sensors and an AFR valve on my 1995 LC (FJZ80), I noticed a rattling noise coming from the area near the front of the cat. It sounds like nuts and bolts rattling around in a tin can. The vehicle has 248k miles, and the cat was never replaced. (I attached...

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Landtank, I think you were right! I must have reversed the vacuum lines. I reversed them back yesterday, drove about 50 miles and completed a drive cycle, and my scanned indicators for the EGR and CAT went from "not ready" to "ready" without the CEL coming on. Time to get a smog check. Thanks...

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Thanks! I thought I was careful about not switching the lines by tying a white and green bread tie on them, but I just tried switching them and I'm driving right now so I'll let you know how it goes

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Thanks! I'll try that. Is the EGR valve difficult to remove?

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Is there a way to spray some WD40 or carberator cleaner into the EGR valve to unstick it?

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Thanks! The idle does seem to be a bit rough. Is there a way of repairing the EGR valve other than replacing it? Is the EGR valve difficult to replace?

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

Thanks! I think I'm getting my terms confused. When I google “EGR vacuum modulator” I see pictures of the EGR Solenoid, part W0133-1749037, which is the one I replaced: Amazon.com: OES Genuine Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Solenoid for select Toyota Land Cru...: Automotive

I got a po401 code, so I replaced the EGR Vacuum Solenoid, & then got a po402 code

I have a 95 Landcruiser with 245,000 miles on it. I'm in California, and need to get a smog check. The CEL came on about 5 days ago, and I scanned it and it said I had a po401 code ("Exhaust EGR Flow Insufficient"). I noticed that the EGR Vacuum Solenoid had a green sticker on it, so I assumed...
