It's better, but IDK how much. PO says 18-20.
I had three different clerks fill the tank less than full. Then when I started telling them to top it off (here in OR we aren't allowed to pump our own gas ) my G-D odometer broke. I just fixed it and am filling up today, so next fill...
I don't wheel a lot so decent clearance and good traction is what I really want, and the syncro (with locking center and rear diffs and a decent lift) has that. It's also exceedingly easy to live out of in a wide variety of situations.
Thanks to all on the site, what a fantastic community y'all...
Fun story about this van: I originally bought that exact camper--I mean that one, same vehicle, not same model--in 1998 in Florida. My wife and I drove it around the country for a few months, exploring and also deciding where to move to. We ended up in Oregon where it took me on trips for the...
At the end of the day, it's your own self you gotta live with, and I like to feel like I try to do the right thing. I appreciate the attaboy though.
It might be a flip. It was hard for me to price the vehicle, I could maybe have gotten more than my asking price for it. The first impression on...
I asked him, and he said it was too slow when driving uphill. He showed me a pic of a tan FJ60 he said he'd bought instead.
Neither he nor his dad seemed to recognize how far the rust had progressed... I DID say it was for a trail rig, donor, or parts truck though...
So it turns out that the buyer of my stealth-rustbucket BJ60 has listed it in LA, now. And I think they want $11k for it? It's a little hard to tell, what with all the "sub compact" and "like new" razzle dazzle.

The sale has been postponed until Tuesday, but given that the buyer is flying one-way from southern CA, I think it's probably leaving my hands then.
Either way I will update this ad tomorrow afternoon, say by 3 pm PST, after meeting with that person. Thanks all for the interest.
Well, I thought about parting it out, but don't have the time and interest. It would generate more than $5k though, I imagine; if the frame and body were straight it'd be a real keeper. Like, the dashboard doesn't even have any cracks!
Sale pending on Monday for a customer who provided a cash...
EDIT: SALE PENDING MONDAY TO A CUSTOMER WHO LEFT A CASH DEPOSIT. WILL UPDATE THE LISTING THEN.

This 10/85 Canadian market BJ60 was purchased by me in 2008 and imported and registered in Portland, Oregon, where it still resides. The body and frame both have...
As long as the hose is 3" diameter on one end and 2.25" on the other, and about 10" long (equals about 7.8 cm/5.6 cm diameters and 25 cm length) and also rubber so it flexes, it will probably work. (I rounded up the inches-to-metric conversion a little on the big end because 3" was a very tight...
New plugs solved the problem, fires right up first go. The OEM plug part number for my 10/85 12V 3B with superglow is 19850-68051. Thanks all for the advice, and happy trails.
I had a major crack in the hose between the air cleaner and the intake on the engine. The part is discontinued and the only quote I found for one of the very few remaining was $370. I didn't want to use coiled HVAC type hose because of concerns about heat, durability, and getting a good seal on...
Could be, I haven't been on here much over the past year. But unless they are the 3B variant they will not fit my engine and air cleaner. Thanks for posting up.
Still hoping for a line on the right material to use for this application. I'm about a half-banana mechanic at best, which is why I am turning to the experts. Thanks for looking.
