Traded in my Taco: For this last Saturday: Love this thing!

Traded in my Taco for this one on Saturday. Just ordered a 3" lift and some 285's.

Very interesting. Yes, I do have the 5VZ. I had never looked at the HP numbers. I guess the 4.3 always seemed like such a snotty little engine. And I just assumed the 4.3 could be done for cheaper. That is why I post in forums like this! So people with more knowledge than me can come save...

They shipped about two days after I placed the order. It took about a week to arrive, as they ship out of Wisconsin (I think). Overall time was around a week and a half. But the welds looks pretty damn good.

I had some sliders welded on last weekend. Bought from a company called 4xInnovations. Had a local guy weld them to the frame for me. Then used VHT roll cage paint on them.

What rig are you in? I'm in a 2003 Tacoma. I'll just have to measure them when I get home.

I'm assuming I would have to be a member of RLC and TLCA to join in?

Hmmmm, I wonder if I could fit that reflector bowl in my stock housing.

I've contemplated this myself. I saw a used factory TRD supercharger with all necessary components. It just seems like I could swap in a GM 4.3 or find a Toyota 4.7 V8 for around the same amount of money.

That thing is freakin sweet! I love the look of the 01-04 front end on your 4Runner. And those FJ wheels look great.

I know this is an older thread, but I figured I'd ask anyways. Are you guys running these in stock headlight housings? I have read that these do not work will with the stock housing (I'm an an '03 Taco) as they are meant for Halogen bulbs. But I reeeeeaaaaally want some!
