    Thank-you Cruiser Parts in NH

Just a shout out thank-you to CruiserParts.net in Sullivan, NH. I ordered a heater blower fan about two weeks ago. As of the end of last week, I had not received it so called and I was ready to be ticked off. Turns out they kept pulling fans in order to find one where the resistor was good so...

    Windshield Weatherstrip Locking Strip

Thanks! I searched online AFTER I posted this, of course. Found the Lisle 47000 tool and a bonus YouTube video. O'Reilly will have it for me late this afternoon. Thanks again!

    Windshield Weatherstrip Locking Strip

It took about an hour to replace the windshield in my 1970 FJ40. The "rope trick" worked great! However, trying to get the weatherstrip locking strip in is another story. At the rate I'm going with a screw driver and windex, it should take about four hours! I'm sure there must be a proper...

    Thanks for confirming my suspicion.

    Heater Fan Motor

1970 FJ40. The fan motor sort of quit on me about two years ago but I could get it turning if I "tapped" on it with a rubber mallet. This year, no such luck. I thought it might be the old wiring and/or corroded switch so I figured I could rig a new toggle switch bypassing the original dash...

'70 FJ40 Need rear hatch window & seal.

Been looking all over the web for a window and seal for the rear hatch of my 1970 FJ40. So far, no luck. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions. Thanks!

'70 FJ40 Front Heater Blower Question

It worked on the high speed position, one click out. When I jumped it direct from the blower to the battery bypassing the switch and everything, it turned right over with no delay. There are 13v coming out of the connector that runs back under the firewall to the switch so I'm suspecting the...

'70 FJ40 Front Heater Blower Question

I like this! Especially since the rear heater does not work.

'70 FJ40 Front Heater Blower Question

All good suggestions. I have 13v at the plug that comes out from the firewall to the blower motor. I have not tested the voltage as it comes off the resistor but I have had a thought that might be too simplistic. Once again, electrics are definitely not my strength. Would I cause any...

'70 FJ40 Front Heater Blower Question

Thanks! Great suggestion. I did check and it is only about 9v. I ran jumpers directly to the battery and it the motor turned immediately. What could be causing the voltage drop and do you know how I can diagnose it? I cleaned up the connector a bit but do you think that could be the issue?

'70 FJ40 Front Heater Blower Question

Hi all, The front heater blower fan works will not "kick start" into action. What I mean is that it will turn if I pull it out of the enclosure and give it a little nudge. But it won't get turning when I first pull the switch. This has been happening for awhile and I used to be able to just...

    Thanks Forum!

No PTO. I'd be glad to sell it if I can get it off without taking things apart again!!! I'll check it out and get back to you.

    Thanks Forum!

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's for the PTO lever, if you have one. I don't. Might have been there in an earlier life. I keep it for nostalgia purposes. :D

    Rear heater hose diameter?

Anyone know what the inside diameter is of the hoses that run to the rear heater in a '72 FJ40? I have a puncture and need to get a hose connector. Am doing a bunch of repairs tomorrow and knowing this now will save me going back up to the house, cutting the hose and measuring and then coming...

    Gear Shift Removal - Help!

"I" sure wouldn't give you grief! At least till I knew you a little better. That tool you fabricated would have made the job a lot easier. I"m impressed. By the way, found out what probably caused this mayhem. There were two bolts missing from the tranny case cover. More important...
