Yeah, I was hoping for a little more drop in temp from the intercooler upgrade too. You know the deal though, running bigger tires, a bunch of fuel, bigger injectors, and the AC condenser in front of it so those all add up. I haven't tried the reflective tape on the intake tubes yet. That...

Yup, that's the one. We took that trail going to the left of the lower smaller circle but didn't find a suitable place to camp so we came back and grabbed a spot right by that trail for the night. We hiked around the lake and several of the spots on the right side of the lake were all under...

Trip report continued: Thanks Kyle for adding those pics and the names of the spots. It was down that canyon on the three forks river camping spot that my family did the up river exploring and then we basically floated back to the camping spot. If was fun and the water felt great. With...

@Hojack I hope to have time tomorrow to post the Steen Mountain part of the trip. That area was fantastic.

Trip report: Took a trip last summer with @FF LC FREAK , @Dirtgypsy , and @esh out to Southeastern and Eastern Oregon. It was a 5 day trip and the plan was to do some exploring and follow some tracks that Ken has done before. I met up with Kyle and we headed down to our first camping spot at...

Sorry for the delay. Finally stuck my head under the hood this weekend to confirm that yes, I'm running 3/8" for the return hoses.

I look forward to the turbo experiment. It'll be interesting to see how they work out together. So I guess in your fitment scheme I'd echo your thoughts on building in enough room for the large to get swapped out just in case. Nice work on the body. Lots of dedication to strip off all the...

Just thoughts: Not telling you not to do it, just some things to consider. With such a tight housing on the large my estimate is that it will try to do most of the work and your small might not be able to contribute as much as it could, even with the wastegate on the small fixed shut (which...

Depends on how much work you want to put into it but would be the best on flexibility on turbo positioning. I didn't have the welding set up to build my own so I stuck with plain-Jane. Even with that I had a buddy weld on the caps with the right rod for cast.

If that is a 9cm tubine housing I'm afraid that is going to be too small of an exhaust housing. You'd have to do some wastegate porting but that might not be enough to flow as the large. Maybe there is some aftermarket bigger housing for it. You'd really want something in the 14-18cm range...

Either one will have to be chopped so that's a moot point but by the looks of it the 24V might be able to be capped to have a smoother flow for the exhaust. In all the 12V will be easier (no need to port match and the cap is simpler) and the 24V will be a little more work. I've not had any...

Let's see, the gotcha's: With how I mounted my turbos and ran my pressure pipe between the large and small I don't know if I'd be able to run the vertical oil filter mount. But, if one already had that mount they could plan/route around it I think. I think the picture shows how tight I fit...

Still catching up on these posts but I'm currently redoing my lift pump system. Once that is good it's definitely time to hit some dirt.

Results with new intercooler: Dropped some overall EGTs but not as much as I'd hoped for, maybe about 100F. Spool up for the turbos was quicker, total boost was higher, heat soak takes longer, and EGTs drop quicker when getting off the throttle, and... it doesn't leak. So all in all a decent...

Engine oil cooler? I know the power steering system doesn't put out constant heat like an engine oil cooler would. My inner fender well is not very sealed anymore but planning for air to flow though is a good idea. I suppose I'm relying on my hood vents with their negative pressure sucking...

I'm glad you've got an inside place to do the body work. I think that's one of the reasons I don't like doing body stuff because I'm still outside. One of these days that will change. Keep sharing your work, it's interesting.

Casualty #1. While I was moving stuff around and trying to make it all fit I ended up snapping off an inlet on my power steering cooler. I guess it didn't want to go into the angle I wanted it too. So a quick order was placed and a better cooler showed up. Went from a tube and fin to a...
