Looks just like mine. If you get a nice clean one, it'll look like that after a year or two. Use it to get the price down.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Finally stripped my windshield frame, and the whole bottom and right side was filled with mouse nest. Oh well, with the pace this resto-mod is going (26 years and counting), I guess I'm still on track lol.

    Nuts and Bolts

Sorry, completely spaced it out. They seem to be 6x12mm with 8mm hex/phillips head. I just measured the one's I have and think it's correct. But you can look them up online and the toyota part number will give the exact size. Oh, and they have a lock washer and a flat washer.

    fj 40 original tires

I looked at them more closely, don't think they're original (I bought the 40 from my next door neighbor when it was 10 years-old with 40K easy miles, mostly hunting, fishing and errands in Vermont). I found the brand in tiny print next to the rim, Medalist, which is manufactured by Michelin I...

    fj 40 original tires

I’ve always believed that my ‘82 still has the original tires. Does anyone know what brand would have come with an 82 40? (Mine don’t seem to have a brand name on them)

Aluminum Tubs & Dissimilar Metal Corrosion

Well, the s/s bolts won't corrode, but the capture nuts in the body sure will, especially if they're aluminum. Stainless is much higher on the galvanic scale the aluminum or iron for tha matter (as are nickel and chromium). And no you don't need explicit electric current to have the reaction...
