Wood portion....
Blue stain (aka beetle kill) pine 1x4 (plus 1 piece of 1x6 T&G used to build the control box) wood and oak 3/8 round to make dowels.
Lighting portion....
WS2812b LEDs, at each corner (or from one intersection to another) cut, wire run and resoldered.... retained in aluminum channels cut/ground to fit with covers.
Electrical......
50w 10A 5v converter and a (currently until I can resolve the arduino overly-simple microphone response) Amazon music reactive / RF remote LED controller.
Light can be just about any color, LEDs are individually assignable, so each of the ~400 LEDs can be any color. Works on the switch and remembers the previous setting, and works through the RF remote.
Only fasteners are the 3/8" thread from the electrical box, the wire rope, and the eyelets. Everything else is wood glue/specialty glue.
