fj40z, and concrete jungle and i headed down to URE today and had a blast!!!. Awesome day for wheeling as the temps were very comfy and last nights rain knocked down all the pollen and kept the dust at bay. Actually the first dust i saw was as we were leaving this evening out the gravel roads. We hit the rock garden they threw up for the event last weekend and generally just had a great relaxing day of wheeling.

But a little bit of moisture goes a long way. We were met right off the bat w/ the descent down dutch john through the deeply rutted section. Lil white knuckle affair to get us started (my fault as i know half the trails really well and was guessing on the direction to take here) lots of slip sliding to the bottom and then uneventful till we made full circle back to rocky mtn loop. the ledge before Kodak gave me a hell of a time so i returned the favor :) and finally made through minus one working exhaust system :whoops:

Found a "new to me" line at kodak that kept the puckometer out of double digits but kept us entertained as well. mostly just a great day wheelin and a sweet perforated burn mark on my arm that kind a looks like a cat heat sheild :hhmm:

dang all pics are on concretes camera......update pending hot date

Had a blast is right! Probably the best time I've had at URE so far. NO DUST!!!! The rain last night was just enough to make things interesting, but it really wasnt a slop fest. Im still pretty green in the 80 seat but J and Alex spotted me around with no problems. First time I've really wheeled since installing the lift, and I cant say enough about the difference it makes. I forgot my camera so I didnt get any pics (Im an idiot). This was also the first time at URE on a weekday and it was awesome, we only passed 3 other trucks the whole day. What a blast!

pics never do it justice......

looks like land cruisers are lame but steve is about in full slide instead of stride in second pic controlling the skid to the bottom! We saw a total of two other trucks and two atv's and that was it for 5 hrs of wheeling.....you gotta love the weekdays at URE.

couple more, vids are loading

had a great time. I wish i would have taken the black stallion :D ........soon.

This is a nice pic showing just how steep this "rock garden" .....more like pipe garden was. I almost had J coming up it, but he got a little :princess: on us. :flipoff2:

Thats at URE?!?

great pics guys. looks like ya'll had a lot of fun. you went the wrong way on dutch john...your supposed to go UP the hillCLIMB!!! i did it one time. my next trip to URE was in the same direction that ya'll took!!! looking down at that little bitty split rail at the bottom makes you hope the slide stops before you get there cause that thing IS NOT going to keep you from going over!!!

good looking cruisers guys.

yea, it's new. It's actually across the street from the outpost. There is a horse stable, this pile of crap is behind it. :hillbilly: just keep driving back around all the chevy's and fords on 40 inch tires with chrome trim and smoke stacks. You'll see it.
