hey guys/gals, my wife, my 3 kids and i will be staying in rapid city this weekend, fri,sat, sun, 10/9-12... we have a family wedding for my wifes family on saturday but i am hoping to check out a few of the trails nearby if we have time... we live in colorado but come to manderson sd to visit...

and we are a transamerica wholesaler so my price was 160 a piece, since no one has said how they like them, i guess ill get back on in a few months and share my thoughts... they told me coul be up to 6 wk wait til they arrive tho! all well, ill deal with my blown out OME til then!

i think the biggest thing was to stay local, dont go out and try something "new" dont push your limits, basically make sure your not putting yourself in a situation where you will need additional resources, like search and rescue or medical help. from my understanding

awesome deer haven is just a county road that is maybe slightly more washbord than shelf road, but has buetiful views and scenery

shelf road is closed currently for road work just so you know, an alternative if you are interested is deer haven, which is just west of canon city, and takes to to just west of cripple creek
