For Sale 1995 FJ80 LS Swap

It is. The ECM ended up not being the issue, but a faulty O2 sensor. I haven't been pushing selling it that hard as I started to fall back in love with the truck again. It is still for sale though.

For Sale 1995 FJ80 LS Swap

So right now, had an engine surge due to the ECU so I am not driving it. But for three years this has been my daily, and I have loved it. It drives fantastic and has tons of power. The locker in the rear makes it go anywhere. I left the front diff open, but I also have an eaton limited slip I...

For Sale  1995 FJ80 LS Swap

Hello Internet! I am selling my 1995 Toyota LC. This truck has a LQ4 LS with a 4l60E transmission. It has been my daily driver for 3 years. The good : When I did my LS swap I started with a fresh motor. Not a used core. It's a 6.0 LQ4, I also had the transmission completed re-done at the time...

Yet another LS Swap - CO

So, I ended up registering the truck in Wyoming. My family has land up there so, for now went that route. In terms of finishing it... It's my daily driver, and has been for the last 10-ish months. I need to get the right ECU, from a 2000-2002 Yukon Denali. That is the last item I need for the...

I only say I would re-consider the LS swap now having it done. It's not a power issue or that I am unhappy with the result. But looking at the bigger picture, cost of getting it done, all the modifications needed, and what came out the way I expected vs. something's that I couldn't get 100% the...

EROD would be a way togo. Only thing from that would be the manifolds and getting everything to sit in the truck right. I know some other people were able to make them work, I ended up going with short headers. When you go E-ROD, it takes all the guess work out. you get a certified piece of...

Yet another LS Swap - CO

The story did halt for awhile. Once I felt the emissions work was going to be money on top of more money I tabled the truck. It sat untouched for a few months while I figured out my next steps. I got a bunch of feedback, some good but mostly keyboard comando's telling me what I should have done...

It's a bit more then just swapping out the computer for me. The list I made for making this legal to go through emissions again would be : I have to swap out to a computer / system that is light duty. I was looking at the Denali setups. If I based off the Denali I will have to add/do : EGR -...

Yet another LS Swap - CO

I had a appointment setup with a inspection people "referee". I did goto the normal emissions place first, and that wasn't the issue, but they gave me the forms and contact numbers for the full on inspection places. I had to setup a appointment for them to go through the truck which is where I...

You might not be hit the same issue I did. So, when you roll into a Colorado emissions station, one of the first things they do is open the Driver's side door and look for the bar code. They scan that, and that set's their computers to make, model, engine of what that bar code says your vehicle...

Pretty sure they use the GM E-Rod packages, which are 50 state legal create engine systems engine, ecu, cat forward exhaust. All in one purchase.

Also I mis-spoke, I have my buddies avalanche on the brain. My motor is technically a LQ4, we "based" most everything off 2002 Silverado

As I was told you can't swap out anything on the exhaust from the CATs forward. CATS back you can change whatever you want. But Manifolds, O2 and CATS have to be stock. That is what the guy at the emissions place told me. I think this especially holds true if you have a EGR as part of the system.
