    Transfer Case Fluid Top Off?

Sorry, yes I meant differential. Both CV axles are wet with fluid right now. I plan to top it off and wash the axles really well to see if the leaks continue. We're staying in a state park so not really conducive to doing much more work than that. I'm also scheduled to take it to a mechanic in...

    Transfer Case Fluid Top Off?

Did a pretty tough trail near Ouray, CO earlier this week and noticed a lot of fluid on both CV axles and the area around them when I got underneath to inspect yesterday. Thinking I should at least top off that fluid but I've never done this before. Is there anything special I need to know...

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

I did the PX6 unit from Phoenix Automotive and I've been very happy with it. Someone said they aren't compatible with LCs/LXs with factory nav. That's not correct. Mine is an '05 and came with factory nav and the PX6 unit replaced it perfectly. Only factory functionality I have not been able...

Double check that you have all the connections on the back made correctly. Check an earlier part of this thread where we discussed this issue. I had a problem with my buttons on the bottom of the unit when I did the initial install. There was a plug connection from the harness to the PX6 unit...

    Battery dies in 3 days?

Correct. Disconnect battery and no issues starting once I reconnect it. I actually discovered that my driver side window switch continues to remain active long after I turn off the truck. I replaced that switch console years ago because the factory one wore out. It's very strange - only the...

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

Did a 2 day road trip up to CO last weekend. I'll just say that my wife and I both LOVE this PX6 upgrade. It was so nice to have the new technology, apps, siriusXM radio, etc. Found the GAIA GPS app which is going to be amazing for riding trails and the light overlanding we plan to do. I...

    Battery dies in 3 days?

I have the same issue on my '05 LC and it has been very frustrating to figure out where the drain is. My mechanic suggested unplugging the CD changer as he had heard that was a common culprit but that didn't seen to help. It's really an issue because this isn't a daily driver and it often goes...

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

I've been pretty happy with the PX6 installation, so far. A couple of issues to still work out. Main one is ground loop noise. I've read that this is caused by grounding in different locations, which makes sense. The head unit is grounded through the harness and I grounded the new amp to the...

It’s in there. May not be grey but I think it plugged into J. Yes, everything was working on the screen but my buttons were not until we found that missing connection.

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

Yes, I had the same issue. Turns out there was one cable that wasn’t plugged in. Fixed it as soon as I found that with the help of Phoenix tech support. I believe the plug was grey and had maybe 4-6 wires coming out it and it plugged into the lower center of the bank of connection on the back...

@tucker74 - I actually did exactly like you and used RCAs from the PX6 to the new Kenwood amp. Also reused existing speaker wires. I’m hoping a filter on the new power wire to the amp may resolve the issue.

Almost done! Just got the firmware from Sergey installed and its a huge improvement! Seriously, spend the $100 - its totally worth it. Just to recap what I‘ve done so far Installed PX6 (duh). Utilized Phoenix tech support to resolve some issues and they were great. Replaced factory amp with...

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

Update - I found the Metra 70-8116 Amp Bypass cable that looks like it will at least keep me from needing to cut up the speaker out side (SN-6) of the harness. Still looks like I may need to do some taps and splices but I think I can do it with jumpers so they can just be cut if there was a...

LC & LX470 Tesla Style Screen Radio Upgrade with Climate Control: General Discussions

Thank you all for this extremely helpful thread. I have read through it a few times and now find myself in the middle of installing a PX6 Android 9 unit from Phoenix Automotive in my 2005 LC. The tech support at Phoenix helped me get past some basic issues and I feel like my unit is fully...
