Did you unbolt the lower control arm? When I did the shocks and sway bar refresh I couldn’t get the axle to sag on either side enough to pull the coils. And I dorked around long enough with the top shock bolts I figured the coils could wait another 6 months. 🤫 I was needing a sanity beer.
Well, I got part of this done. I wanted to do all 4 corners - shocks, sway bar refresh and coils. I got the shocks in the rear and sway bar all refreshed. The front and coils will have to wait. OEM shocks, as I have no interest in lift or heavy bumpers. OEM sway bar bushings, but AM drop...
Did you push new bushings in the control arms? I’ve been wrestling with my wallet. I’m thinking of replacing the whole dang thing. My ball joints still “sound” good and visually show no damage. 21 years and 232000 miles, it’s lurking around a corner….
Discount tire said these "hub caps" were fatigued and wouldn't properly go back on when I got new BFG's a couple months ago. eBay wants 10 greenbacks a piece for new ones - clearly that's not Scottish.
so a couple of passes (exactly 4) with fancy electrical tape and they fit like, well...
The shop manager was very up front about it - no way to know what's lurking under there until we rip off the glass, and then we're committed. Could be a $500 job, could go over $2K. And that's BEFORE the glass. So I had just sold my beloved YJ, which I had brought back from the dead, but had...
Not sure I’m qualified to advise you. I used both. Crazy thing is you don’t know what’s going on under there until you take off the windshield, and then you’ve committed. I like filling holes. It was a bit of a risk but my windshield was hammered so I jumped. Water was deep!! Every rust damaged...
nothing on the edge of the glass. I asked the body shop manager and glass install dude about that - both said, not an issue. I have had this set up since last summer, about 11 months, so all seasons, and I didn't notice any wind noise. And the glass is in perfect shape. I rarely listen to...
I asked the body shop guy the same thing, he said no way. And I can tell you, there is no added wind noise. Its a pretty tiny gap. People like to complain, its a human thing.
Yeah! The owner that moved the Jazz to SLC didn't have the funds to pay him and Stockton like LA or Chicago could, so as part compensation he set them up with car dealerships. Perpetual income. Kinda smart actually. Karl owns a bunch of them. Even sells UTV's and dirt bikes in my town. Got...
