Not sure if it is relevant, but some background. I've had the truck for 8 years and the exhaust has always been in rough shape, O2 sensors barely in the bungs. Check engine light does not light up...
I have a Weize 100Ah LiFePO4 battery in the cargo area and isolated from cruiser electrical system.
Renogy wanderer charge controller.
Dual 100W panels on the roof. On drawer slides so single panel when driving.
Just added a slide out panel to my setup and upgraded / relocated my charge controller (Renogy 30A Wanderer).
I plan to do a similar install on my skoolie (last picture). Currently have 500W on the roof and would like to double that by adding sliding panels.

To be honest the hose clamps just introduce 2 additional weak links in my mind.

I didn't flare the ends of the pipes, but hasn't caused any issues yet.
Since I didn't re-use the bracket the tubes were free to move in the passageway. To minimize movement I pushed the tubes through water resistant silicone foam...
That would be my recommendation, but maybe others have better experience with rust converters + top coat.
As I mentioned above, I had tried a few different combinations and after driving the rig on salty winter roads, the fluid film seemed to hold up best. I plan to apply yearly from now on...

If your prep work isn't perfect, rust converters and paint can make it worse. I've tried CORROSEAL only, CORROSEAL + POR15 and CORROSEAL + chassis saver paint and in spots where the prep wasn't perfect, there was more rust underneath...
