Maybe this one: Alternator: 60-24-70-DV - Balmar - https://balmar.net/product/alternator-60-24-70-dv/
Mostly meant for marine applications but that doesn't matter of course. Balmar has a lot of options, a little bit confusing. This one has a double pulley as you will need and is 24V. Not a plug...
I am running a HZJ75 (with 1HZ and aftermarket turbo) and about 400.000 km. I would say 1 liter every 4000-5000 km. Oil/filter change at 10.000 km. BTW, this is my second HZJ75 and I am driving a HZJ75 from the year 2003 until now and always about the same oil usage. Always using cheap oil...
Something like this :-).
I have a HZJ75 (1998) but with the BJ axles and cable diff locks front and rear "retrofitted". At the top of the picture are the indicator lights (green and orange).

Seems to me that those Vanner's are really a combination of a 24-12V DC DC convertor and a battery balancer in one package. So that works if you keep the 12V load within spec (you can't use a winch for example ;) ).
Bust most battery balancers of other brands are just that. Using them as a...
That's an older version. The newer ones don't have a cooling fan and rely on passive cooling. Some customers complained that the newer versions run uncomfortable hot because of this. I have read a message from Victron customer service on a yacht forum (can't find it anymore though) that Victron...
The difference between isolated and non-isolated versions puzzled me also. I came to the conclusion that if you don't know which one you need, you probably don't need the isolated version. It's meant for special situations with gear that's sensitive for spurious signals that (maybe) are present...
Then, I guess, you probably have a different manual. I have checked it and it's there. Also, the connectors must be directed beneath. Maybe this depends on how powerful the unit is (mine is 400W, 17A at 24V).
There are a dozens of different DC-DC Orion's! What you need is indeed an Orion "charger", they have also Orion "convertors" in almost the same housing. That's more like a power supply. You can put them in parallel for more current as you like. Beware these units run pretty hot, so place them...
After not using my HZJ75 for at least a year, I noticed some oil sweating at the bolds (see image) of the front axle. I have driven it for a few hundred km's recenctly now and everything stays the same. So no drops leaking on the tires but obviously some gear oil is coming through and resides...
Yes, the third one up from the bottom. That's very good news, that I can safely remove them. BTW, it looks indeed like the "military wrap" but those (two) main leafs are oké and I don't see yet what it has to do with it. SNLC?
John.
Thank for your reply.
I just took a picture of the leaf (broken leaf not visible on this picture). I this the so called military wrap? Can you explain why it's not wise to remove the broken leaf in that case?
John.
Hi I am new here, reading the forum for several years but this is my first post.
I own a Landcruiser HZJ75 from 1998 with an aftermarket rear suspension (leaf springs with about 5 cm lift, maybe OME but I am not sure because I am not the original owner) Each side contains 10 leafs which seems a...
