What type of off roading do you do? 1) rock rails (not n-fab steps) 2) 3" lift 3) off road tires 285 or larger. Everything else is a coin toss after the first 3. Skids aren't all that important unless you like to rock crawl. Stock tin works fine.

Just finished up some mounts for my radius LED bar.. this setup is temporary, I will be upgrading to a Baja Designs ARC light bar I wanted to keep a low profile look and have mounts sturdy enough not to vibrate the mirror so here's what I came up with.

Finally built a swing out for the fj. Just sent to powder coat.. I'll post installed pics when it comes back. The Jerry can holder can be removed and setup with rotopax cans by replacing removable Jerry can holder.

True but you should always use a material that will withstand its intended purpose... I would hate to see something fail and ruin your truck... DOM has proven itself for rock rails

Imo Hrew tubing shouldn't be used on sliders and if you use it keep the seem inside..

Clutch fan? Dirty/clogged radiator... I doubt it's the heater core because your floor will be wet and you'll have a mildew smell in the car.
