DEAL ENDED-Great deals on parts through Toyota (March 2022)

I’m in the same boat, I placed 4 orders with Decatur totaling about $2k and haven’t heard a word yet about status. My orders were placed between 20 - 27 March. Checked with them early last week and was told they were up to processing orders for parts placed up to 17 March at that time. So...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

You may want to contact ToyotaMatt at VintageTeqParts.com Home Page – VintageTEqParts.com - https://vintageteqparts.com/ as I believe he has, or is in the process having OEM Reproduction side lamps/markers made for the 80 Series Land Cruisers.

80 series - Help with cooling system

No, never open the radiator cap on a hot engine as that is a good way to scald yourself. I was talking about a coolant refilling and air burping procedure on a cold engine startup. Sorry, I didn’t make that clear in my previous response.

80 series - Help with cooling system

As cahill mentioned above, replace Toyota red coolant with red, or green anti-freeze with green. Do not mix the two! Also, if it is red, make sure you you get the red for the older Toyota vehicles such as the 80 series and not the Toyota pink used in newer vehicles. If it still continues to...

80 series - Help with cooling system

    Likely both. You...

4 Hours for a fuel filter!

Agree, 3 to 4 hours with every size socket extension, pivot and wobble sounds about right. That said, hopefully you remembered to research some great information available from those that have gone before us here on MUD and cut a notch in the new OEM Fuel Filter on the side that is closest to...

    Injection issues

I’ve had good luck with Witch Hunter Performance located in Duvall, WA. They rebuilt and flow tested my 96 FZJ80 OEM Denso Injectors when I did my top end rebuild two tears ago. Website: WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services - https://www.witchhunter.com/

1995 fzj80 will try and start but will only stay running if foot on gas

In addition to checking for major vacuum leaks as Reiver stated above, I would also check for excessive slack in the accelerator cable, especially where it connects to the throttle body. You have three cables there, the Cruise Control, the Transmission Kickdown cable and the Accelerator Cable...

Help me prep our Cruiser for my daughter.

I just rebuilt my 96 and went with the Denso's since they were direct plug and play replacements. I ordered and received them pretty fast from Joey at Absolute Wit's End. He even includes new locking nuts! Denso 234-4157 Denso 234-4153
