Location of engine oil grain plug? I know, this is dumb.

Wellcraft, I will. I already noticed some grease on a CV joint of the left front drive shaft (the joint closer to the differential). If my skills improves as I'm hoping, I shall be working on it early next year, repacking the wheel bearings at the same time. I bought the LC100 for the same...

Location of engine oil grain plug? I know, this is dumb.

Thanks again for the generous tips! I will get the right tools, and study as much as I can -- I have been reading the big ASE textbook for some time. I drained oil yesterday. Tomorrow I shall replace the filter with the right wrench and finish the job. Maybe this sets record of time span for...

Location of engine oil grain plug? I know, this is dumb.

Thanks for all the suggestions and encouraging!! I did not check the thread again before I started the work. So I broke the connector between my wrench and 12mm socket, when trying to unscrew the bolt that holds the metal cover. Of course I only found dusts coming out from the hole. I...

Location of engine oil grain plug? I know, this is dumb.

OK, I'm a newbie. I did the search in the forum, and found many things like what kind of mistakes to avoid. But I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out the location of the engine oil drain plug. I found the coolant valve behind a round plastic cover, the oil filter behind a piece of...

My noise hunting thread: drive shaft?

Thanks a lot! I also think the chirping sound may be from wheel bearing. I'll try to lube them.

My noise hunting thread: drive shaft?

OK, I just put 500 miles on a 99 LC with 98,000 miles. I'm looking at two problems now: 1. A low noise/vibration when accelrating, clearly felt through gas pedal; 2. A high pitch chirping from front side, seeming also happens when accelerating. So, I dug out old posts on drive shaft and today...

2nd Start button and Power button issues

Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried this: 1. pusing down the power button. it stayed there, but no indicator light was on. ------ At driving side, there was no expected effort on high rev up shifting. 2. pushing down the 2nd start button. It popped up the power button, but it did not stay...

2nd Start button and Power button issues

Has the problem been identified? I also experience the same on a 99 cruiser (No 'D", "PWR", or "2nd Start" symbols). I also wondered if it is tranny problem.

    Power Button

I also experience the similar. I got a 99 cruiser recently. First, after pushing down the PWR button no symbol in the instrument panel is on at all. And secondly, pushing the 2nd start button does cancels the power botton, but it does not stay there -- the 2nd Start symbol is not on either...
