    thank you so much! mine had plates that would not come out to reveal the screws. there was no notch to lift the covers off.

    Hello!! This thread has been incredibly helpful! That said, I am stuck on how to remove that floor center vent cover so I can get under the carpet? I tried forever and finally gave in to quitting for the night and getting a beer!
