Looks clean. Unfortunately the early (2008-2011) 200s are starting to feel the bottom of the market get soft from what I have seen lately. There are a lot of similar age and mileage trucks posted around the country in the low 20k range (plus or...

295k on our 2008. Have replaced maintenance stuff, fluids, spark plugs, serpentine belt and idlers, PCV, and one ignition coil. Slight oil weep dampness from rear main seal and a valve cover or cam tower leak. Doesn't drip to the driveway or...

Went from a 327k Mile 2000 100 series to a 200k mile 2008 200 series about 8 years ago. The 200 has 295k miles on it now and has needed some maintenance (brakes, tires, fluids, plugs, one ignition coil, etc), but nothing major. It's about to...

I hooked it south into Governors Basin with a side track through Sidney Basin clockwise. I had to use the magic Crawl on a couple of spots on that optional loop. Recommend. I made it almost to the furthest mine and the bottom fell out of...

TimCFJ40 replied to the thread 200 Series Engine Swap Options.
Sure, if we're talking the difference in repair cost between a high mileage BMW and a 200 then sure, it's a valid reason. When you're talking two vehicles as mechanically similar as the 200 and Sequoia, the small difference in engine cost is...

Not sure I follow. Are you asking the price difference between a 200 series engine and a Sequoia's engine, and then suggesting that you would buy a Sequoia vs a 200 series if the engine is cheaper to replace? Either the 200 or the Sequoia could...

I run whatever Full Syn 5w30 is on sale at the time with a Toyota Filter, and change when the 5000 mile maintenance indicator comes on. I have sent out a few samples to blackstone over the years, and all have suggested I extend the interval, but...

TimCFJ40 replied to the thread Issue shifting into park!.
Haven't done it on a 200, but I'd look at adjusting the shifter cable slightly. Usually there are jamb nuts at one end or the other that you can use to take out any excessive slack. Your issue doesn't sound like a Neutral Safety Switch issue...

I'd go to 5w30 year round. I switched my 08 over back around 215k miles, and it has over 293k now. No issues, and smoother/quieter at idle. I'd recommend replacing all the transmission fluid if you can versus a drain and fill. There's a thread...

I run the Bilstein springs in the front with OME 2721s on the rear and they sag to about level with the rear full of gear and a 4 bike rack on the back. My fronts are on the lowest perch. They sit with a little rake unloaded. Should be about...

For the volume knob, pull the knob out firmly to remove, then spray down in there with electrical contact cleaner, let dry, then put the knob back on. Easy cheap fix.

TimCFJ40 replied to the thread ‘21 HE Center Console Squish.
I went and checked mine. I have several sunglasses cases that barely fit in the insert that preload the hinge/latch a little bit. When I take them out, it does have a little squish before it sets down. Maybe your idea of a thin rubber pad to...

My 2008 has no cooler box, but the center console seems sturdy enough. Do the Heritage trucks come with the drop in insert for the center console? My 08 has an insert with a handle that drops into the huge void so you can put stuff like...
