Just wanted to post a quick update, new shop was on point and really reasonably priced, around 800 for the diagnosis + changing out the master cylinder etc.
They tested all the wires, determined nothing was grounding out and finally swapped in the new abs unit. Programmed it and the truck is...
So just wanted to update this for you guys, I'm going to bring it to another mechanic who says they have access to techstream software and knew what it was when I asked about it. Also, I might have caught a break because there is a 25% off sale on toyota parts right now...
There is one more piece of info that I forgot to mention that hopefully might help...
I was thinking it was the fuses as well, so I went and got a 50amp 56volt fuse directly from Lexus for the abs. I was hoping that I could just pop it out and everything would come back online. Well, the...
Thanks for this reply, it’s showing that you can buy just part #6

Or is that just me misunderstanding the parts diagram
Thanks for the replies guys and I wasn’t there for the fireworks show when they hooked up the cables.
I’ll post in the local section to see if there is a known good mechanic I can bring the LX too, I’d like to avoid the dealer if possible but that does exist as a option if worst comes to worst...
Hey guys,
So, my wife ran down the battery on the LX and in a truly terrible string of events following that, the LX wound up getting jump started with the cables crisscrossed. Got pulled off once the problem once they noticed something was wrong but the car was done at that point.
The next...
This is the one they tested and I got:
Philips 12361B1 H9 Standard Halogen Replacement Headlight Bulb, 1 Pack https://a.co/d/3QBxRaJ
Bone stock H9, just $10.
Haven’t check the boards for a while but I’m glad I was able to help some of you guys out. The H9’s I’ve been running have been going strong and while I’ve thought about going the rx350 headlight route, the H9 performance is more than enough for my current needs.
Just wanted to pop in and let you guys know about this. I've searched the boards quite a few times and I havent seen any mention of this, the general train of thought when upgrading the original halogen are to go with the Hikari Eye of Megatron LED bulbs or grab some RX350 HID projectors. But...
I've got a pick set, they are super useful. For any kind of interior car parts I try to use my plastic tools first because I'm the guy that tends to snap parts off because I'll think "maybe if I just pull a little bit harder... *crack*". But now that I see how it's put together, I'm not worried...
Thats awesome, thanks for the pics, it makes total sense now.
I was picturing that the clear plastic brackets holding the light were the clips holding the cover in which is why I was trying to pull from the other angle.
I was referring to the ones in the insides of the doors. I was trying to remove the by just pulling on the bottom edge of it, but it seems pretty set in there. I was going to use some trim removal tools, but there isnt much room to get any purchase with them.
I'll try again this weekend... and...
Thanks! I'll take a look... I was feeling under there and trying to see which way to turn but didnt want to take a chance of breaking something till I asked around first.
